No commentary here on GREASE:  YOU'RE THE ONE THAT WE WANT?  Or are people waiting for it to air on the West Coast so as to avoid spoilers?

Would love to make comments, but I won't see it until tomorrow. I was watching the two hour season premiere of '24' and had to let the DVR record GREASE.

Well... After a few stops and starts, I finally made it through tonight's episode of "You're The One That I Want"...

Now I know why a couple of my friends sort of "disappeared" for a while a couple of weeks back.

And for those of you who might have missed it last night...

Jake Gyllenhaal's Tribute to his "Brokeback Mountain" Fan Base

:)

That was hysterical!  And who knew that Jake could sing??  My friend Margo and I are going to see "Dreamgirls" tomorrow and I don't doubt that I'll be thinking of Jake. ;)

So did anyone else see "You're The One That I Want" tonight?  I won't do any spoilers, just curious

I just turned to the channel and they showed Juliana!

So happy that you've found contentment in your new job, DR Vixmom. othing is worse that having to work at a place where you're miserable.

I was truly laughing out loud when I watching that.  My roommates were upstairs, and were wondering what the heck I was watching.  And since we have a DVR, and since I hit the "Record" button...

:)

-And it was actually a pretty good episode throughout.  I thought the "Law & Order" school skit was dead-on.

I began my evening with SLEEPY HOLLOW on Blu-ray disc. I was totally pleased with the luscious high definition transfer, very three dimensional, and though color has been desaturated in the printing, they still manage to have red full blown, and there was more red (of the blood variety) in the movie than I remembered. I also had totally forgotten the ending and the person responsible for the headless horseman, so it was in many ways like watching the movie for the first time.

I didn't remember Depp's Ichabod fainting so many times either. Very funny.

OOOh we've had between 5 and 6 inches of snow.  I like that

I don't know if this is an urban legend or not, but supposedly, on some local news broadcast that took place last year, a weather forcaster predicted a snow storm that was to bring eight to nine inches.  The following night, after the storm failed to materialize, the anchorwoman in her on-air segue to the weather man said, "So Bob, where are those nine inches you promised me last night?"

I've been hope this would turn up on Youtube, but so far no luck.

Next was the two hour season premiere of '24,' and it again got the season off with a gripping, pulse-pounding beginning. Love this show!

And then BROTHERS & SISTERS dealt with dating woes of all the siblings and Mom, and each story was engrossing.

Jason Lewis playing the closeted soap star dating Kevin (Matthew Rhys) had a sizzling kiss with him setting the stage for a very promising story arc for the two characters. Rob Lowe, an actor I've never been especially fond of, is fitting beautifully into the ensemble.

I've seen that clip, so it's not an urban legend.

*And it reminds me of a comment made by a radio commentator in DC a couple of years back who always tended to make, shall we say, "ambiguous" comments from time to time.  Well, he was in the middle of a movie-review segment... "I finally saw the new Kevin Costner movie the other night.  I was walking funny the next morning."

Football pushed shows so far back on CBS' line-up that I had to cut COLD CASE loose tonight. Maybe next week when '24' isn't on opposite it, I will have some leeway on the DVR scheduling.

I'm back from a trip to Border's to use my personal shopping day (10% off) and my holiday rewards dollars, both of which were about to expire.  I bought 2 travel resources for Washington, DC (Frommer's 2007 and City Walks), a birthday card for our niece/goddaughter (who turns 18 this week), some half-price Christmas gift wrap, and my February book group book, Jane Glover's Mozart's Women.

Mine expired a couple of days ago...I totally forgot about it. :-\

I don't know about the veracity of that story but I remember years ago when DR  Frank Fields (Storm Field's dad)  was the NY weatherman and forecasted  light flurries.... we were slammed with a huge storm of more thana foot a.. the anchor person asked Dr. Fields to come to his house and help him shovel the light flurries out of his driveway

Personal Shopping Day? or Holiday Rewards Accrual?

Personal Shopping Days expire at the end of the month, but you can redeem your Holiday Savings reward until January 31.

Is John Bolaris still the weatherman at one of the NYC local channels?  Oy--the stories I could tell you about him!

I know not of whom you speak.  But the strangest pic pops up when you do a Google image search on his name.

Or maybe not so strange...

The evening meeting was postponed until the morning (at which time it will become the morning meeting). The Grease show was half over when I got to my room.
