DR Jose, these auditions were for the SKIN OF OUR TEETH show?  (You mentioned the new title a few days ago, but I forgot what it was.)

That sounds like some terrific elbow rubbin'!

Two favorite sayings from City of Angels:

"That's a ballgame of a different color."

"There won't be a dry seat in the house!"

Another TOD:  One of my aunts was always bemoaning how this or that was "going to hell in a hand basket."  This is a pretty common phrase, but I never understood what it meant.

Trying to stay calm - looking out at the pretty day helps.  Have Ye Olde iPod on - now playing - Jack Jones, Lollipops and Roses - he has such a beautiful, smooth voice.

I watched last night's episode of the Grease show (I refuse to type out the title).  I had seen the LA auditions and was not super impressed.  I'm pretty happy with who made it through, they all seemed to be experienced performers.  I can't see myself buying a broadway ticket to see someone mediocre but with a great human interest story.

Fun sayings - One of my high school principals used to jokingly say "If you fall and break both your legs, don't come running to me."

Also:  "People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw a fit."

Well... It used to be called Over and Over... Then it reverted back to the play's title, The Skin of Our Teeth - and I think the "The" was even dropped at one point.  And now, it goes by All About Us.  -The production will be mounted at the Westport Country Playhouse in Connecticut this spring.

For those with multi-region players, all the marvelously marvelous Max Ophuls movies that I've been raving about (especially Letter From An Unknown Woman and The Reckless Moment) are now available at amazon.com.uk for a whopping 60% off.

...maybe, but I think it's called padding the postings -- the proof is in the padding!

FJL should avoid seeing a "Skin Of Our Teeth".  There is a song about a Ice-Cream in the score and isn't he still hot/cold sensitive.
The "Demo" score showed promise but I'd love to hear a "proper" recording.

OK... I'm off to pay a visit to some friends, and meet their new baby boy.  Well, he's not that new, but he's still a baby.  Or something like that.

Laters...

My father used to say "I'm going to see a man about a dog"
My mother is answer to questions about what she was doing: "I'm making a wigwam for a goose's bridle"
