I don't know who the guests were in today's show -- if they were local celebrities, I don't know them.

Usually, they just choose guest spellers from the audience, but it was Kid's Night on Broadway the  night that Julie Andrews was the special guest speller.

Super Bowl Sunday is always a fun day. We go to a home with a large tv. Those who want to watch the game do so; the rest play board games. I usually hang around and watch the other folks having fun.

DR Laura--

The other night, Julie Andrews and her daughter, Emma Walton, were the guest spellers in the Broadway 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Guess which word she got?

SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS

Thanks for the info! I'm downloading the vid BUT it's taking for ever!

I have time to spell Super... 300 times, and correctly!! :D

Am back from the Egyptian exhibit which was very enjoyable....and lunch with buddies which was also enjoyable.

Dog Bosco went for the ride and got to walk about at one of Portland's parks. He enjoyed that. He is now eating his kibble and I am gonna flop on the couch and finish watching the 1960s East German beach party movie that I started last night titled Heißer Sommer (HOT SUMMER).

This movie has more musical numbers then all of Annette and Frankie's movies put together! LOL!

PS: The DVD was released by the same company that is releasing DR Edisaurus's movie. They have pretty good taste in films I think.

I have a board meeting at 3pm tomorrow and a rehearsal for my song afterwards, but I plan on getting home to watch some of the game.

Spirit Guide Bolt predicts a 31-12 score, but I will NOT say who he says will win.

I still think SISTER MARY IGNATIUS EXPLAINS IT ALL FOR YOU is one of the best one act plays EVER!!

I lunched at the Broadway Deli - hadn't been there in at least eight years - still pretty decent.  The first time I'd reconnected with dear reader Jane, that's where we met.

I remember.  First you ran into my father someplace, didn't even ask for my phone number or offer yours.   ::)  He remembered where you were working and I found you.

Invite a moose to dinner - his body heat should take the chill off a small room.

Bruce-How is the food at the Broadway Deli these days?  Even though we often stay in that part of town I like to go to Nate'n Al’s for their coleslaw.

We took the city bus today, and we got to cross the street at my favorite crosswalk. When the little-green-walkie-guy comes on the traffic light, a voice says "Walk like a duck. Walk like a duck." DR Sandra says the voice is saying "Walk light is on," but I hear "Walk like a duck."

DR Dear Reader Laura,
Do you hear other strange things as well? Just curious. :)

DR Cillaliz---I got the Orpheum doc today. I will enjoy it even more knowing that I am looking at your future workplace!

I will share it with other interested parties---we may all watch it together. Thanks!

There aren't any scenes of the hallways or offices of the commercial space, but when you see the building from the outside, my office is on the third floor, two of the windows are immediately above the right side of the marquee as you are facing it.

Glad you got it on your birthday!!

Indeed I do, DR JRand56!  David wrote the concert adaptation of JUBILEE for Carnegie Hall and THE BOYS FROM SYRACUSE for Encores!  He and I are often guests together at dress rehearsals for the Metropolitan Opera.  He's quite charming.  I cannot remember if I knew Chris Durang before he recorded for BK, but my memory is yes, since he knew the wife of the owner of The Drama Book Shop. She had worked on the premiere of his one-act TITANIC.

No toffee from Thornton's?  My favorite is the mint special toffee.  Their humbugs are also delicious.  Ben was kind enough to get me some when he was in Ireland. :)
