I thought I did...I'll try again.

I did try again and left it alone and still no sound.  Must be something with the setup on my computer. :P

Yikes---I slept too late! This is what happened when we've been sleep deprived all week.

Now I must drop my car off to get a new wheel (because of the idiot who dropped a tree in the middle of I-285) go into a house-cleaning frenzy and cook a dish of some sort. I think I'll make a dip that tastes like buffalo wings---it includes chicken, bleu cheese dressing, cream cheese and hot sauce. Not healthy but yummy.

Recipe please!!!!

I am tired. I did yardwork since 7 a.m. The man who was in charge of the workday showed up at 1 p.m. and said he didn't see any work to do. Grrrr.

Okay - so here's the scoop:

As I write, Jane and Keith and Mr. Sherlock Puppyboy Lassner are driving south from Portland, to reach the Ashland Homeland by early evening, i'm guessing.

The Boy has his front legs and chest and shoulders shaved, and looks quite comical. He was glad to see his mom and pop this morning, and jumped and whooped and wagged that Mountain Dawg tail around... this boy will need tranks and painkillers for the next couple of months, to keep him sedate and quiet. Great news: Doc said they won't have to crate him all that time - if he can be calm and act like a 12-year-old, he can hang with the peeps.

Minor miracle: Shoulder should heal up with minimal indication of any lameness Ay-Tall, and there is a 1-in-4 chance (now, if that were your odds in the lottery, how happy would YOU be???) that his elbows will take care of themselves, as Sherlock continues to grow. Let's all hold the space for MIRACLES, and root for that 1-in-4 chance to win, here.

Jane will post as soon as she has the young patient home and settled. Meanwhile, keep the good thought and vibe the good vibe!

Thanks for the update, Penny!  Now...either I totally missed it or just plum forgot (which is more than likely ;)), what's wrong with Sherlock that requires all of this medical intervention??

His bones were doing odd things and required surgery - see yesterday's posts from me to get that scoop - the elbows may or may not require more surgery, as he grows up...

From the Randy Newman list:

British paper The Observer selects the best 50 movie scores:
"From Psycho to Singing in the Rain, Slade in Flame to Shaft, our
star-studded panel of big screen connoisseurs select the greatest
soundtracks in cinema's history ..."

Randy Newman's Toy Story is at #29, just 4 places behind the score for
(porn movie) The Devil In Miss Jones. Strangly enough, only his nephew
Thomas is also on the list, ignoring all the other Newmans.

Recipe please!!!!

Chicken Wing Dip

1 pkg of cream cheese (regular, not light)
˝ jar of chunky bleu cheese dressing
˝ bottle of Frank’s Hot Wing Sauce
1 rotisserie chicken (just use the white meat, both breasts and shred fairly thin)

Soften the cream cheese (you can do this in the microwave), mix it with the dressing and the sauce, then just add the shredded chicken.  Sprinkle a little cheese (cheddar is good) on top and bake it at 350 for about 20 minutes.

I've never made it before, but my CLOSER producer brought some to work and it was deelish!

Thirlling news about Sherlock! Looks like he will be needed some Zoloft or Paxil or Xanax or Valium or something to keep him calm as he recuperates!

Thanks for the updates, dear Penny-O!

DR FJL - I had not made the connection between you and Skip and The Last Starfighter.  Happy to know that, especially since my copy just arrived today from Amazon (along with The Brain)!

I know DeeGee and her DH Dan...
