For DR Elmore. Do you need some flowers to plant to help you unwind from all the chinchy bassas?

Whew!      Here is my OCP [that's Omnibus Catch-Up Post]:

DR Jane, good news on your DMIL!

***BETTER DAY vibes*** for DRs elmore3003 and TCB.
DR elmore3003, FedEx's behavior is invidious and inexcusable.

Lovely photos DR DearReaderLaura, and 45 species…WOW!   :)

Nice pics, DR JoseSPiano.  Love PN's hand resting lightly on your shoulder.  What the picture DOESN'T show is EK's hand resting lightly on PN's thigh!     ;)

Laughing out loud at today's notes, bk!

DR Jennifer, have a lovely, wonderful BIRTHDAY celebration!   :D

And...scene.

TOD:

Since I am totally unfamiliar with the LOST HORIZON musical, I don't have any good ideas on a remake.  However, I do have a bad one...

Director:  David Russell

Richard Conway:  George Clooney
Sally Hughes:  Lily Tomlin

It may still turn out to be a bad film musical, but it will be a picture that everyone will be talking about.

DR JoseSPiano, my mother thoroughly enjoyed All About Us last evening; thanks once again.  Fantastic seats!  She was glad to have had a chance to "read up" on all the background information ahead of time.  And whoever put that information together did a nice job of providing context.

I had a good time, as well.  I felt the audience last night was decidedly reticent.  Oh yes, they were reticent.  There were many times where I was the only one laughing.  Well, maybe that's my personal problem.  But still, I felt they could have been much more responsive.

I can't put my finger on exactly what it is, but the show - while it has many enjoyable elements - just doesn't "flow" for me as a whole.  There is still much that is worthwhile to see and hear.  The "keyboard II" part, for example.   :)   Yvette has grown stronger, I think.  And it was great fun seeing the bits of staging that have evolved since the final run-through.  Also, the actors have devised all kinds of subtle and not-so-subtle bits of business since that run-through, with some performances under their belts.  That was great fun to notice.

I was surprised about the [lack of] a Talkback, but it would have made a very late evening very much later, indeed.

Glad to hear that David Thompson and Stro were there, but I wouldn't recognize them if they had walked up and slapped me.  Which I would have deserved.

Oh, and DR MBarnum, since we finished dinner early, my mother and I had a great deal of time before the show.  We inspected all of the display posters at the Playhouse, and are fairly certain that the one bearing Frances Farmer's name is not amoung the group currently being displayed.

You can blame me for your lack of sleep.

As for the "lack of talk back", I guess I had my dates mixed up, but there were some other people in the cast who thought there was one last night too, so... ???  Glad you enjoyed the show.

And I know what you mean about the "lack of flow" too.  We'll talk.  ;)

DR DearReaderLaura - Since you most likely have some "remnants" of paint sitting around, have you ever considered a some kind of faux-wall paint-treatment treatment?  I think you would enjoy some sponge painting.  And maybe the twins could come over and help you with that too.  You just dab here... then there... then there... And so on and so on and so on...

Or if you take a rag...

Etc., etc., etc.  (ah, a King & I reference)

My aunt in washington had themed bathrooms. One is an underwater theme with fish and seaweed and things, the other is a dark jungle with lions and tigers and ...there are no bears in the jungle >.<

I know you will have a better day today.  And if not, at least a cocktail.  :)

OK - Semi-random joke time...

A woman came home, screeching her car into the driveway, and ran into the house. She slammed the door and shouted at the top of her lungs, "Honey, pack your bags. I won the lottery!" The husband said, "Oh my God! What should I pack, beach stuff or mountain stuff?" "Doesn't matter," she said. "Just get out."

Hmm... I wonder if this one "applies" to any DRs...

other is a husband.

And one more...

Mother Superior called all the nuns together and said to them, "I must tell you all something. We have a case of gonorrhea in the convent."
"Thank God," said an elderly nun at the back. "I'm so tired of chardonnay."

OH... And a classic....

A Polish immigrant went to the DMV to apply for a driver's license. First, of course, he had to take an eye sight test. The optician showed him a card with the letters:
'C Z W I X N O S T A C Z.'
"Can you read this?" the optician asked.
"Read it?" the guy replied, "I know the guy!"

And finally...

One day, a man came home and was greeted by his wife dressed in a very sexy nightie. "Tie me up," she purred, "and you can do anything you want."
So he tied her up and went off to play golf.
