In the mean time I have a lawn to mow and weeds to pull.

I had a wonderful time viewing stuff this afternoon. I began with the last disc in the WILL & GRACE set. The episodes remaining in season 6 consisted of two that continued the story arc with Will's new boy friend Vince. What a shame that Vince wasn't introduced earlier in the series since Bobby Canavalle added so much to each episode he appeared in as Vince. And once Debra Messing left the show on maternity leave with three episodes remaining, the writers were foolish not to make those Will-Vince centered stories. In fact, Vince didn't appear at all in those last three episodes.

The last two episodes of the season involved the hastily put together wedding between Karen and Lyle Finster (John Cleese). Several guest stars were present in these shows including Jennifer Lopez and the always welcome Leslie Jordan, but with Grace missing and Vince absent, Will was left with little to do.

The outtake reel was fun, especially certain scenes having multiple takes due to lines blown, breaking character, or technical foul ups. The theme featurettes simple lump jokes around certain themes and since I'd watched the entire season in less than a week, I didn't need to revisit them so soon, even though some were howlingly funny.

I spent the last two hours exploring the special features Blu-ray disc on DREAMGIRLS. How great that the documentary was also shot in high definition, so the entire set ended up being a high definition experience, and the "making of" documentary was excellent. Sadly, while the Broadway show is talked about by Loretta Divine and Hinton Battle (who was the first replacement as Jimmy Early after Clevant Derricks left), one misses the participation of other major movers in that original company. Of course, Michael Bennett has been gone a long time (is Michael Peters also dead now?), but I wish the original show could have been represented a little more fully.

But every aspect of the 61 day shoot is covered in pretty rich detail. Yes, everyone loves one another and there didn't seem to be any problems along the way according to this film. Still, behind the scenes is always fun to see, and this gives you loads of that.

I also watched the feature on the costume design for the film. Always an interesting aspect of any movie and a particularly fascinating one with this picture.

As of December 1, 2059 I will be no more.

I hope you all can make the memorial service and I expect lots of flowers. Thank you.

Sorry Mike, but since I will have been dead for 30+ years before you go, you'll have to wait till you get upstairs for me to give you flowers.

Sunday afternoon of the second weekend that our new Kroger Marketplace is open was great fun.  I visited with...

Mike & Katie
Margie
Anita
Merle & Brenda

...all friends I don't get to see often because of working out of town.

Oh, and I shopped, too.

DR Elmore. MANY MANY HUGS TO YOU!!!

If you're on a diet, find your favorite fresh fruit and splurge on it.  Or there is always jello.  It has few calories and always seems to cheer me up.

At the market, I bought celery and pineapple!

I talked to my brother Randy and JoAnn.  Today is their twelfth wedding anniversary.  They said Lady M was outside earlier yelling at Macbeth about a $2000 check.  I wonder if the estate's attorney called them about that form he hasn't signed for a month now?

Yesterday, on Cinco de Mayo, we stopped at an Indian Casino to partake in their scrumptious buffet.

Just because I know you all want it.....

Gee, I felt pretty lucky with that clock.  I plan to retire from the State in 2013, and I figured that still gave me 10 years of retirement before I go.  Besides, I am sure that Tom and Colin will be tired of having a houseguest after ten years.

Boy, this is slow going around these parts.  Okay, here is a question or a subject or a something:

If you could throw a cream pie in the face of some celebrity (with no fear of arrest or reprisal); who would it be and why?

Tom Cruise, because he is a pompous ass.
