Those flight dreams of childhood were special. I always seemed  to start mine with jumping higher than anyone else and then soaring off in flight.

I do dream about train journeys quite frequently.  But NO not tunnels.

Yes, I'm here. I'm tired but here. I picked up my brother at Newark Airport. We took the AirTrain. I had reservations (not the ticket kind) but it worked out exceedingly well. I'm impressed and the next time weI travel to and from Newark Airport we will probably use the service.

We went to dinner and then walked around Chelsea and the Village. He was suitably impressed with the noise and the fast pace and the number of people on the streets. We walked all the way west to the Hudson River so he could see the transformation from rat-infested, trashy old piers to sparkling new park. Of course, he never saw the rat-infested, trashy old piers but that's another thing entirely.

We then returned home and Anthony showed him various slide shows of his picture albums. I then went to bed.

He's on his own this morning, heading uptown to the Empire State Building and the areas around 34th Street (Macy's, etc). I will meet him at 1:30 and we will do some downtown things like going to Wall Street and South Street Seaport.

I was stuck in a STUPID meeting yesterday morning before I left to pick up my brother so I wasn't in the best of moods as I set out on my journey but all is better now. I do have a meeting this morning but it won't be with stupid people saying stupid things and it will be over well before 1:30 when I plan on leaving for the day.

I don't have any recurring dreams. I think I did when I was younger but I haven't had them in years and I don't really remember the details.

Amy, so glad the CDs arrived. I think you'll enjoy them

Work has begun on the 4th CD which is actually Volume 3 of the reviews since the 3rd CD is a Special Edition of the Christmas radio interview in Cardiff.

I hope your brother has a wonderful time Ben.  Up the Rock is really worth it too as the view of DR Jose going for a JOG  should not be missed.

Friday is the day for farther uptown pursuits. He will go to Midtown on Friday with a look at Rockefeller Center and a possible trek up to Top o' The Rock. Then on Friday afternoon we do the rest of downtown, Ground Zero and Battery Park. Depending on the time we may take a trip on the Staten Island Ferry. We will also pick up tickets for our trip to Ellis Island on Saturday.

David Carroll was known as David James Carroll in the 1970's, if anyone is trying to google that BAM prodcution.

David was a wonderful man! I knew him from around 1983 or so. My first memories of seeing him in something were for Bill Tynes' musicals in concert at Town Hall, which is when we met, and a turkey musical version of THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS with a lovely score, good orchestrations by Bill (now William David) Brohn, and a misconceived book. The cast was great -  Vickie Lewis, Nathan Lane, Nora Mae Lyng, and P.J. Benjamin - but the show was not.

My last memories of seeing him were backstage after a preview of GRAND HOTEL and a rehearsal shortly  before his death when he and Wally Harper did a number with the NYC Gay Men's Chorus.

Good morning, all! I know! I know! Today is the longest number of daylight hours; it's the logest day of the year as opposed to the winter solstice which is the shortest day of the year.

I'm sleeeeeeepy! I have to be out of here at 8:15 for an eye examination.

8:15 in the morning?  You ought to have your eyes examined!

I guess not the David Carroll born in 1913 who was a conductor and arranger with successful hits in the early 1950s.

One and the same.

I would blame the whole dream topic on DR Ron's corn

Jerry likes DR Ron Pulliam's corn.

Good morning!  Today is the day of the beginning of the move into the new office. The car is packed to the gills and I will have several trips after this one.   The movers will be at the Frances building at 10:00 AM to move in the furniture. So after that I'll start putting away things and getting settled in.  I took today and tomorrow off so I can have 4 days in a row to move in.   Woo hoo! It's going to be great!

Yesterday I got notice that I was one of 5 people to win a book at one of the exhibitor's tables at the conference I went to. The choices were all very practical manuals that I looked at but decided not to buy.  The cheapest is $200, so it was a real win!

Seriously, I do, of course, know of David Carroll.  He was a very talented actor/ singer who taken far too soon by AIDS.  He died while recording the OBC recording of GRAND HOTEL.  He was replaced by an actor by the name of Brent Barrett.

Like others, my favorite dreams [that I can remember] are of flying.  I still have them occasionally, not just when I was younger.

My most frustrating dreams are of trying to walk somewhere - toward something - and finding it very difficult to move, like my legs are moving in extreme slow motion, against a great force.   I also sometimes dream of driving a car while asleep, which is disconcerting, to say the least!
