WHELMED AND OVERWHELMED

Well, you've read the notes, the notes were both whelmed and overwhelmed, and now it is time for you to post until the whelmed and overwhelmed cows come home.

Now I must take my leave ... why one would want to take a leave, I do not know, but it makes for a dramatic exit, so I'll take it.

Our esteemed host ponders:

Quote
Why is vengeance spelled like that? Why do we need the “ea” when either “e” or “a” would work just as well. I want the name of the person who came up with this spelling so that I may ridicule him from here to eternity and hell and back.

The answer, dear Bruce, lies not in ourselves, but in our pronunciation. The word has two parts, venge + ance. The "e" and the end of "venge" is needed to soften the "g". We don't want vengeance to rhyme with hang-dance.

I jest - that is actually Jonathon “The Impaler” Sharkey, sole candidate from the Vampires, Witches and Pagans party.

Go Elizabeth! So, Ann Coulter has acknowledged that if she can't make personal attacks she can't write or speak. She is such a loser

Looks like rain outside. I hope it does, we haven't had any for a while and it would be nice for it to cool things down

The B***H makes me too angry even in a case like this so I will not read or watch. She is such a tiresome and hateful woman and I sometimes wonder how she sleeps at night but then I think she has no soul or conscience so why should she have trouble sleeping.

But I will say Hooray Elizabeth!!! Show the rutting whore of the lunatic right wing that people will stand up to her and her vile behavior.

Do you have any idea on dates for THE BRAIN yet?  I have a trial set September 17 and have to set another one today...I'm hoping to schedule things so I can still make it to the show

I'm off to the kitchen/lounge.

I don't think Anthony will be here on Thursday for the Indian get together. He will be in New Jersey. His relatives have shown up and there is a do out there so I will represent us both on Thursday. I hope we get a chance to see MusicGuy more than just Thursday cause he won't see Anthony at all if that's the case.

Ben did you see the clip? Elizabeth Edwards called into Hardball and calmly and politely asked Ann to stop the personal attacks. Ann really looks like the idiot that she is.

Good morning, all!  After a whole afternoon and evening of dusting, washing windows, and inhaling - I'm sure - many toxic fumes, my sinuses are clogged and my head feels stuffed with cotton batting.

I have yet to finish dusting the CDs, sweeping the floors,  and mopping after cleaning out the bathroom before I can spread broken glass, nails, and other uncomfortable items all over the fire escape.

I'm in the middle of laundry. Back later!
