So, instead of seeing Les Miserables, I headed up to the 79th Street Boat Basin for a friend's 40th Birthday Party. I'm actually glad I went. I was able to touch base with Bess, the Birthday Girl - she was my stage manager for All About Us, and a couple other All About Us-ers were there too. As was one of the keyboard players from A Chorus Line, a couple of actors and actresses, some conductors and pianists, etc., etc., etc. -She was one of the original stage managers for Wicked, as well as Martin Short's Fame Becomes Me, so there were lots of "biz" people there. It was a nice party right under the "bridge" there by the water. It was hot, but it wasn't too bad, and they had a separate bar set up for the party people. I'm glad I went. -And I guess there was a reason for not going to see Les Miserables tonight.

And then after the party, I hopped on the 1 Train back to Times Square since I had to make an exchange at the Virgin Megastore. Then after passing the Golden to say HI to DR Jason, I hopped back on the A Train back uptown. And here I am! (Ah, a A Chorus Line reference.)

And speaking of "Merrily We Roll Along" (this weekend), THIS "rare four page advertising herald (flyer) promoting the Original Broadway production of the GEORGE S. KAUFMAN and MOSS HART play "MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG" at the Music Box Theatre in New York City" is listed on eBay! What a coinkydink!

In response:

The property owner *is* the guy's boss. The property owner is the guy who's developing the property, and he has always been very responsive and cordial when previous problems have arisen.

While I understand why some of you would urge "making nice," this guy threatened me and my dogs, called me every name in the book, and threatened violence against me even in front of the police, so I'm just going to steer clear and let the police handle any problems. Our hope is that with a police report and my conversation with his boss, this guy will realize if anything happens to me, my family or my dogs, he's obviously going to get the blame and the repercussions.
