I haven't had a chance to read much over the last two days, so I'm heading down earlier than usual this morning to do some reading. Then, it's on to lunch preparation, doing laundry, and beginning today's viewing.

And the word of the day is: ESTIVAL!
Morgaine, who practically LIVES AT any Renaissance Faire she comes upon, found her ESTIVAL ramblings sullied when the Lansing, Michigan Faire was held next to the city dump -  the experience SAT VILE in her memory for years to come.

WOD:

The Testicle Festival is estival.  Apparently.

Bring plenty of suntan lotion.

...I shall spend the morning with a chart for Mr Spirtas, and then I may follow the example of DR MBarnum and nap.
I hear the view from the fire escape is lovely.  Of course, if you're napping there, you probably won't be taking in the view.

We have ripe cherries available at the store.

They're pricy.

Estival's Space Age Bachelor Pad Music would have been a perfect answer for yesterday's TOD.

Good morning crazies and studlies and pixies and vixens.... (I think that pretty well covers most folks here....)

Good morning Elmo, you dear talented man......by the way, did I ever tell you that you are right on the verge of being "scary smart" in the vastness of your musical knowledge??  Another scary person is Jose.....incredible amount of knowledge about so many diverse subjects.  When I'm with the 2 of you, I feel like I never graduated from second grade.

And that was a compliment by the way!  :)

"..... and now, on this exclusive offer only on television, you too can learn to play genuine Hassidic guitar just like Estival.  Learn the secrets of the "bent minor thirds" of klezmer, the sensual and frenzied rhythms of the Hora, and how to make only 4 measures of music last for the entire 12 days!."

"Order right now, and you'll also receive our special gift, the "Bris Buddy."  In between playing gigs, you can help out your Moyl with this space-age device (9 D cell batteries not included).

Remember..... this offer is only available from Estival, and is only offered to residents of Hainesville.  (prices slightly higher in Studio City).

'Tis time to get to work, already?

Out of curiosity, has anyone here ever heard of a cabaret duo named Wayne and Brenda?

(The Visa ad, featuring the music to the song "Brazil," has brought to mind a parody they used to sing, "Brassiers.")

(Brassiers
They're on the second floor at Sears
They're hanging from the chandeliers
Covered with sticky finger smears
Brassiers
At Sears....)

(And so forth...)

And now I have to start back into some more packing and sorting.  I'm slowly working my way through an awful lot of stuff, and as long as I just keep doing a little each day, I don't get overwhelmed.

I'll check back in later.........hugs to all.....

I need to leave for the theatre in 25 minutes, and one of my roommates is in the shower. And has been for about 20 minutes already. Color me displeased. (Is that a word? It doesn't look "right.")

Part of me doesn't want to work two shows today. Oh...it's the part of me that wants to go back to bed...
