BTW, we Atlantans are embarrased that Michael Vick is on our football team.

And you should see the news coverage here in Richmond since he went to school in Virginia.  It's been the lead story each night I've been here.  :-\

Why, DR Edisaurus...I'm shocked!    :o

Breakfast report:
I had a chicken crepe with potato pancakes and DR MusicGuy had bacon, eggs, and pancakes.

But did he stand up in the restaurant and yell "UNDERPANTS"?

Hey, you Broadway insiders:  is anyone watching Last Comic Standing?  One of the semi-finalists is named Lori Chase, who last night did a routine about being on Broadway in "Cats" and other shows.  She said her ex-husband "went on to become a big Broadway star."  Does anyone know who he is?  Here's her site:

Sadly, no. DR Sandra was not with us, so we both behaved like mature adults. Which is not nearly as fun.

And speaking of DR Jason...

I just spoke with him...

His flight pushed away from the gate right on time this morning from LGA.  And then it sat on the tarmac for 30 minutes.  Consequently, by the time he landed in O'Hare, his connecting flight to Louisville was already taking off.  Then when he went to rebook his connecting flight, he was told the next one would not be until 8:00pm.  Then after some creative "commenting", lo and behold, another flight popped up at 1:45pm... And, unfortunately, that one is due to leave 15-20 minutes late at this point.

So, he's been in O'Hare for the past three hours or so, wandering aimlessly, looking in vain for a stand that sells Garrett's Popcorn. ;)

Hopefully, he'll be in his Ol' Kentucky Home around 4:30 this afternoon.  And enjoying Chik-Fil-A by 4:31. ;D

DR Elmore:  I guarantee you that no matter how you think you emabarrassed yourself on MySpace, you could in no way come close to the millions who routinely embarrass themselves there without ever thinking they have.  :)

I don't need MySpace in order to embarrass myself. I can do that here daily.

I believe that's Will Chase's ex-wife.  Will was in the second cast of The Full Monty, as well as the short-lived High Fidelity last season.  And he was one of my favorites Chris's in Miss Saigon.

A traffic report on the news yesterday, and the reported obviously didn't get the humor of it:

A felled tree is down, blocking Beaver Ruin Road. Seek an alternate route.

Score one of the Beaver and his aptly named road!

Spanking cats doesn't work. It just makes them mad and they don't learn anything. If you feel you must discipline a cat, get a spray bottle, like you use for plants and spray water when they are doing the deed.  This makes an unpleasant association and they won't do it again. Apparently this is true, I've never had the heart to do it. I just yell "NO" and they stop.

Spraying water on my niece's cats does NOT work.  They just ignore it.  One of them actually loves to play in the water dish and my sister and niece HAVE to keep all the toilet lids down or this one will splash in the toilet water!

The cat that gives me the most trouble comes into the bedroom anywhere from 2-6AM and starts tearing up magazines until I get up and give her a treat. The rest of the cats never bother me until they sense that I'm awakem but this one I have to shut out of the bedroom. Spraying water would only succeed in getting some antique furniture wet.

OUCH!

I just read John Simon's review of the Legally Blonde OCR over at Broadway.com.

I am not fond of cats, even though a cat has a nice role in my new novel.  I am completely and majorly allergic to them.

Damn that USPS MediaMail is SLOW!

On the early morn of 16 July I ordered some stuff from Overstock.com.

Today, at 1:30 PM I received an Email that my order had shipped.

An hour earlier the postman had left the package at our door!

Quite an eclectic collection:

The CD of "What's a Brayne and Wenda" (LA Cabaret)
The DVDs of second season of Beauty and the Beast
The 30th Anniversary Edition DVDs of Roots (which I've never seen)

I thought that it would teach the kid more responsibility if he had to pay the whole amount, and I wouldn't tell the parents.

The kid in me agrees; however...

Our daily newsreports are replete with tragic stories that regualarly have "out-of-the-loop" parents as part of the problem.

I would have DH go with the younster to his parents, report the situation, commend his honesty (which should defuse the parents potential anger) and discuss restitution.

The news of his dogfighting hobby was indeed shocking and most disappointing. There isn't anything else a man with more money than he knows how to spend can do to pass the time?

Disgusting.
