Thanks TCB. I shall have to remind him who I am (and that I'm the child he sensibly gave away nearly 62 years ago - but he will remember and be quite aware of my existence and visit - until shortly after I leave).

He is really a lovely man. Happy and non complaining. He still brings joy to others with his jokes and singing.

Der Brucer is with us - taking a break from looking at recipe books in which he hopes to find a suitable meal to prepare for the birthday of SWOODY next week.

We just had a 2 minute earthquake here at 1am - anyone else feel it?

4.5-MAGNITUDE QUAKE RATTLES LOS ANGELES

LOS ANGELES —  A light earthquake rattled the Los Angeles area early Thursday, waking residents and knocking some items off shelves and walls.

The magnitude 4.5 temblor struck just before 1 a.m. about 4 miles northwest of Chatsworth, according to a preliminary report from the U.S. Geological Survey.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or significant damage, said spokesman Brian Humphrey, of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The quick jolt was felt by residents across Los Angeles County.

That did not stop me from redesigning the Starfighter logo ad.
I shudder to think how many typos it must have.
I better get a cup of coffee and look at it again.

Doesn't it seem like the participants in a madcap revel from last night are now stumbling in, one at a time, groggy from having laughed too much?

Busy day at the office. I was in for a minute early and no one else was around. Sorry I missed last night. Sounds like it was another good time.

Thursday morning greetings!  Another brutally hot and humid day here in SW Ohio.

DR Cason - glad to hear that you're safely settled in NYC.  I think you're a neighbor of DR Rodzinski.

RE: Big Brother

I am so rooting for Eric to stay...I really, really dislike Evil Dick...I end up liking Jessica more and more each week.

I miss Nick and Mike.

Everytime Amber cries in the diary room (which appears to be every time she is in the diary room) I just laugh... I can't help it...it is almost likea running gag or something. She is sweet person, I think.

PS: I don't get the live feed so I avoid any discussion of that due to not wanting to see any spoilers (not that it would be a catastrophe or anything, however).

I am also rooting for Eric to stay. I also really like jessica. And i also really dislike Evil Dick.

I don't get the feeds either. But i'm telling you you are missing out on a lot by not reading about the live feeds.

There are a couple of websites that lay out exactly what is happening with pictures. So you will feel like you are getting the feeds.

CBS is editing a story. They are not showing what is really happening.

I don't read spoilers for any other shows. But BB is different. Because it's happening now. So you're not spoiling anything by finding out what is really going on.

I would encourage you to just check out what is being written. If you don't like it then stop. But I don't think you realize what you are missing. It is a 100 times more enjoyable.

Here are the 2 i would recommend strongly:

Good morning, all!  Yes, I slept late. Kaye Ballard's bio HOW I LOST 10 LBS IN 53 YEARS arrived yesterday and I am enjoying it immensely.  I read until around 1 am last night, after I watched the repeat of last night's TOP CHEF.

Back to the NYPL today, which will be fun.  I may do a bit of rewrites for BABES & LADY OF THE SLIPPER before I go, and I have to book a train ticket for next week to DC.  I'm thinking about a day trip to the Library of congress next Tuesday.

Mac & Cheese?  I must say that Joe Allen's is awfully good, and did we have mac&cheese at Good Enough to Eat, DR Jose?

Yesterday DR Ron Pulliam wrote:

I think the banner planes ought to be allowed just as long as EVERYone gets a chance to be skewered.

Of all the liars in the house, Eric is the least offensive since his lies are dictated by America via Big Brother.  Amber is another story...but even she pales compared to self-righteous hypocrite Evil Dick.

As for Amber's live feed comments....I think the rest of the house ought to hear what she said to Jameka.  And I think Jameka should confide in others about it.

I actually used to love the banner planes. But i agree with whta you wrote. They either have to allow them or not. It's totally unfair that eric's entire game got screwed over because of his plane.

I'm sure the producers could have stopped that plane. Or made the HGs close their eyes (or be thrown out of the game).

Apparently eric has been quite bad on the feeds. From reading it i just get the sense that he talks a lot and behind people's backs.

But nothing like Evil. Even what they've shown is nothing compared to the things he's said.

RE: amber, what she said is awful. But at least it is most likely out of ignorance. What is Dick's excuse?

DRJENNIFER - I enjoyed the HAIRSPRAY movie as well.  And Nikki Blonskey is a very sweet Tracy.

The Edna role will always belong to Devine - for me, anyway - and some of Travolta's dialog was difficult to understand - but it was fun to see him dance.  I also liked Michelle Pfeiffer as Amber's mom.  The dancing was fun....
