:)

It doesn't take much around here, that's for sure!

I'm not scheduled to work today, but I have been thinking of sitting in the pit again this afternoon at Mary Poppins.  However, I'm not sure I really want to spend my afternoon sitting in the pit of Mary Poppins.  ;)

Tonight, I'm attending a "cocktail reception" that some friends of mine are holding in honor of their son's one-year old birthday.

So...  I just checked the weather for today, and it seems we're under a Heat Advisory today since the temps will be in the 90s - which according the advisory would put us in "record territory".  Really? 90 degree temps in August would be in record territory?  Hmm...  I would think record territory would be somewhere in the low 100s.

Hmm.. So maybe sitting in air-conditioned theatre this afternoon wouldn't be such a bad thing after all.  We shall see.

I saw Follies at the Fifth Avenue Theater in Seattle.  The cast included Walter Charles, Constance Towers, Maxine Andrews, Edie Adams and the fabulous Judy Kaye!

It also had Brian D'Arcy James as Young Buddy (I think).

Yes, I believe he was in that production.  Strangely, he doesn't mention that production anywhere in his bio.

Good morning, HHW.

I, too, did the laundry, plus some other chores.

It's hot here, too. Forecast of high 90's.

That is all. (Can you tell I'm tired?)

RENT - One man's opinion (and I saw the entire original cast).

PERFECT CRIME - I can't believe that Catherine Russell is still in that show.  Can't she get another job?  Is she a silent partner?

JEKYLL & HYDE - I really wanted to like this show, since so many of my friends loved it.  But "Murder, Murder"  sealed the deal.

I am sure I can think of more.

I have that short problem as well.  That's part of the computer cart problem.

You could always try a wireless keyboard and sit with it in your lap...although cost of  batteries could get annoying.

I have that FOLLIES on video tape somewhere around here!  It's the transferring it to dvd that's the rub!

The worst show I ever saw was at the Cort Theater in NYC and it starred Al Pacino.  The playwright wasn't exactly chopped liver, either:  William Shakespeare!  But, boy, oh, boy was it W-R-O-N-G!  Pacino as King Richard III.  (Checking on the Broadway database, it seems that this production only ran 33 performances).

Any other DRs feeling a little overwhelmed?  There's too much out there; you just have to resign yourself to the idea that you can't do it all.  Too many places to visit, foods to try, books to read, movies & television shows to watch, shows to see, CDs to listen to, people to get to know.  Amongst other things.

In a way, this site is nice because I get to experience a little bit of some of the things I'm missing, and I can follow up on others that I think might be worthwhile.

So, thanks to everyone for everything they bring to the table here - including themselves!
