DS Betsy just spent a several hour layover (not the Craig kind, at least I don't think so) at the Minneapolis airport and realized later she was at the new tourist mecca of the midwest.  :)

I once starred in a production of Eugene Ionesco's FRENZY FOR TWO, OR MORE, directed by Stephen Pellegrino.  I was clad in boxer shorts.  :o

Tomovoz I think it is great you can plan so far in advance.  Except for special events planning ahead has never worked for us.  I never really believe a planned trip is happening until I'm on the move.  I always expect something to intervene.

I'll let you decide   ;D:  her parents sold their home of 40 years, and she went back there (Milwaukee) to help them pack stuff up.

Now they are moving out here, which partially explains my propensity for a fetal position on the floor.  ;)

I am writing a report for my Astronomy class on the movie "In the Shadow of the Moon" and I must take a break to say how much I love the movie, but HATED the pre-show!!!!!!

I had not been to see a movie in a theater that shows commercials for quite a while, so what I saw when I arrived absolutely shocked and sickened me. Instead of the slideshow of movie trivia and advertisements that silently repeat in a loop paired with the bad radio station music, I was forced to sit and watch tv commercials for 15 mins.

The " First Look Movie Watchers Network" which claims to be a behind the scenes review of the latest and greatest is really just commercials for E-bay, tv shows, video games, phone companies, fast food, and of course, Coca Cola.

I do not go to the movies to watch tv. I now refuse to go to AMC movie theaters. If I want to watch commercials, I will stay home and save myself $11.

Denny Dillon and Bruce McGill sang it in Tommy Tune's MY ONE AND ONLY to humorous effect.

I was just sent a list of foods dogs shouldn't eat:

Alcohol:  It depresses brain function & can cause a coma.  So no pina
coladas for Fido--not for fun & not by accident with party leftovers.

Coffee:  The caffeine in a cup of java is a methylxanthine compound that can
increase a dog's heart rate & trigger seizures.

Chocolate:  The chemical theobromine can be fatal. Just three oz of dark or
seven oz of milk chocolate can bring on vomiting in a 50# dog.

Macadamia nuts:  Experts have yet to determine why just a few of these nuts
can produce tremors, even temporary paralysis, in a dog's hind legs.

Garlic:  Garlic breaks down a dog's red blood cells, leading to anemia &
possible kidney failure from leaking hemoglobin.

Onions:  Their damage to canine hemoglobin is cumulative, so small tastes
over time can be worse than wolfing down the whole bulb.

Grapes:  Toxicologists have found that grapes & raisins can cause renal
failure.  They're still trying to learn why.

After reading the list I just had to have a chocolate toffee covered Macadamia nut mixed with some raisins.  I was already sipping sherry.  I think I will have some coffee ice cream now.  All thanks to the power of suggestion, and the fact I can't have a Levain's oatmeal raisin cookie.

Knowing from caulk department:  I asked one of our not-so-bright workers one day if he had some caulk.  He looked at me aghast--I don't think I pronounced the "l" very well.  ;)

I often go shopping for caulk just so I can embarrass some you cute young clerks when I ask for it.
