Ping pong balls in an empty bathtub with a couple of kittens...also fun!

When my brother was in college they had a cat who played with golf balls in the bathtub. The downstairs neighbor came up all irate about the noise until he saw what it was.

And The Song Of The  Day Is: LOSING MY MIND

My favorite Stephen Sondheim song, and the most fondly remembered performance in the original Broadway cast by Dorothy Collins.

The truth is, when I got up this morning, my eyeglass frames fell apart!  So I was sitting here quinting at the screen and barely got some posts in.  I've got them taped together well enough to drive over to an optical store to see what they can do.

I hate it when that happens

DR Singdaw. DC Callie is doing much better. However, it was my 2 year old (literally and in terms of behavior) DC Boo who got her head stuck in the Kleenex box.

I used to read a lot of Stephen King, but I haven't read anything by him since PET CEMETERY (SEMETERY?).

My favorite movie made from a Stephen King book gets unfairly forgotten, I think. It scared the bejeepers out of me - CUJO.

SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION and STAND BY ME are the best movie versions in terms of execution, but I still prefer CUJO.

And THE SHINING is a very effective film, too, even if it does veer from the original book. I can't wait for the Blu-ray disc of this to come out. It should look stupendous in high def.

It's rainy here today, but I have a number of things to do today and tonight is the Symphony. I forgot last time and didn't go, which is probably for the best since I was sick. Tonight is a reunion of the Iowa Piano Competition winners so it should be a wonderful evening

I did have an hour this morning of spare time, so I watched another NCIS episode. (#6 from the season, I believe). I only have 18 more episodes to go!

I'd like to get to THE OFFICE off the DVR this afternoon, and, of course, LEGALLY BLONDE comes on this afternoon, too. I have some things to attend to this afternoon, but I should be able to see at least the first hour of it "live."

I think the only Stephen King book I read was The Shining. But I really love a number of the movie adaptations especially Delores Claiborne. I also love Shawshank Redemption, The Shining, The Green Mile and probably others..

Tonight on HBO is the premiere of BORAT which I'll also be recording in high def. No time to watch it or any of the others HD movies I have on the DVR. Eventually, I'll come to a point where I have some breathing room and can watch some of these films I've recorded. But not for the next two weeks.

BK, I am very sorry about your friend's passing.  Hang in there and try to get some rest and some laughs.  I find when things are going haywire that chocolate is a very good thing to have in my life

DR Kerry, ouch!  I hope getting around and moving will become easier with time.  Continued healing vibes!

Singdaw, good luck with your glasses!  I hate when that happens.

Edi, I think you are out of danger for surgery, for now anyway.  NO SURGERY VIBES!

Good morning, HHW!

I thought I'd better say that while it is still morning--at least on the East Coast.

TOD:

I've never read Stephan King--not my sort of thing. But, then again, since I haven't read him, how would I know?? Perhaps I don't know what I'm missing. That happens sometimes.

Healing vibes to Kerry, Jane, Edi, and anyone else who needs them.

We haven't heard from Vixmom in a few days, have we? Anyone know how she's doing?

I have never read a Stephen King book.  I’ve enjoyed a few of his movies-MISERY, STAND BY ME, & SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION.  I don’t remember if I really cared for anything else I saw.
