gotta make like a banana and split... Aloha!

Many people do not know that the Beatles' first-draft lyric was:

You say aloha,
While I say aloha.

Odd....I'd always heard it was:

"You say, guten tag
While I say auf wiedersehn"

Headed down now to check the mail, think about what's for lunch (no lunch out today, alas), and then on to viewing.

I watched the fifth and final chapter of "The Amazing Mrs. Pritchard" on "Masterpiece Theater" last night.

Odd.

SPOILER

And a bit of a HUGE letdown, I must say.

What a way to "end" a tale.  I suppose it was for the best, given the premise.  But...leaving it up to me to decide what the prime minister's decision would have been wasn't all that exciting to me.

I had about 2 hours of running errands with Jo, including several Christmas gift excursions, and a wonderful breakfast. I've now finished packing and I'll hang out till the drive to Dayton.  Everyone in 2-year-old Jayden's family is sick this morning, and I'm praying that my constitution is strong between the vitamins and supplements to withstand the bug and stay healthy during the flight and later in Manhattan.

The next time I post will be from West 82nd Street.  Keep those vibes coming!

I stand corrected, DRJANE.  That entry has been updated since I last read it....someone must have come up with new facts.  Interesting.  Thanks for setting me straight about it.

IMDB makes mistakes too-who knows.  The fact is there was a relationship ;D

I’m skimming though the past couple of days worth of posts—

I agree with DR Jane that one of the few things I do miss with Direct TV was Tivo and the “wish list”.  I did mention it to Bright House when I was having the phone problems.  The lady I spoke with said they love the feedback so they know how to make their service better.  Who knows, maybe the “wish list” will make a come back.

There is a way to do  it, I just keep forgetting how.  I'm surprised it wasn't explained to you.  I'm going to have Keith show me again & write it down, then I'll email the info to you and see if you can duplicate it.

Safely, yes.

But without hassles?  Don't you want him to have had ANY fun?

Am feeling a bit odd today.  I feel a bit flushed right now.  I hope it's a passing thing.

I hope.

Regarding "With A Song in My Heart" and comments about the color fluctuations, etc.

Has anyone ever noticed/noted that a lot of these Fox video titles have a feature that offers a "restoration comparison"?

There must be an in-house rule that no film will ever get more than 96 hours of digital restoration (no matter how much more is needed to do the job fully/completely).  The last few films on which I've viewed the restoration comparison noted that 96 hours of restoration had been performed.

"With A Song in My Heart" could have stood 192 hours.  Perhaps, then, this glorious property would have been restored to its original glory instead of the patchwork we got of great color, okay color, too light color, too dark color, etc.

It's great to have this film, but it would have been even greater to have revelled in its original Technicolor splendors.

I sure hope they're doing more than 96 hours to restore "The Robe" for its impending two-DVD release.

DR Ron Pulliam - Perhaps your flush is caused by not enough hours of restoration?

And the word of the day is: SOLATIUM!
The WOD reminds me of the Macbeths, as those LOUTS AIM for a SOLATIUM along with everything else they are getting from that will.
