Here is what The New York Times had to say about the film version of Tony n' Tina's Wedding:

Quote
The film version is now being granted a limited release. Exactly how limited will depend on your tolerance for tasteless behavior, extravagant overacting and a decibel level to rival the unveiling of Oprah’s Favorite Things.

DR Jose - the answer to your question from last night is that my car CD player came with my 2005 Pontiac Vibe.  The Sweeney Todd soundtrack doesn't play in my old portable CD player, either, which did not surprise me.  It did load fine into my iTunes and now resides on my iPod.

To quote one of my favorite movie lines:  "It's a mystery."

I wonder if The King's cookbook has a recipe for peanut butter/banana sandwiches.

Or is that a different King?

And the word of the day is: DELITESCERE!
Albert was hungering for a sandwich with that roasted beef flavor, so he asked the guy at the DELI T' SEAR him some cow.

Since our esteemed BK will be viewing the film version of Sweeney Todd at the DGA, his reaction to the film probably won't be too much like this one.

Good morning!

Gray and gloomy here though not as cold as one might expect for December. I'm sure we'll have rain later.

Once again, nothing on TV for me tonight though I may check out GHOST WHISPERER since the rerun may be from season 1 or 2 before I started watching the show.

So I should get to all of my DVDs that I have on the list for today.

'Bullitt,' '12 Angry Men' among honored films
Quote
"Even as Americans fill the movie theaters to see the latest releases, few are aware that up to half the films produced in this country before 1950 -- and as much as 90 percent of those made before 1920 -- are lost forever," said Librarian of Congress James H. Billington in announcing the selections.

And each and every one of those films that are now lost is a film DR MBarnum would have loved!

DR Singdaw - what a great cake!  Thanks so much for the birthday wishes.

And thanks so much to DR FJL for pointing me to Milla's birthday post on another board - and for being such a great friend not just today but every day of the year.
