I did NOT get enough sleep.

Neither did I, but I have too much to do today to go back to bed. A nap later in the afternoon might be possible, however.

Kim doesn't live in London anymore?  And she wasn't married when she did?  Say hi for me.

As for the Topic of the Day...

(as always in no particular order)

"The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep"
"Dan in Real Life"
"Hairspray"
"Enchanted"
"The Simpsons Movie" - "Spidey-Pig, Spidey-Pig..."  ;D
"Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium"
"Hot Fuzz"
"Bridge To Terabithia"
"Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street"
"My Best Friend" ("Mon Meuiller Ami")

*"27 Dresses" - It doesn't officially come out until January 11, 2008, but I saw it this year.  ;)

Hmm... Coming up with that list was a bit harder than I thought it would be.  I know I saw a bunch of movies this year - or at least I thought I did.  I even checked the IMDB listings for this past year, and it seems that I missed a bunch of them.  ???  It also looks like I tended to gravitate towards more lighter fare, although, with all the "Oscar-worthy" movies out right now, I guess I'll be in for some Drama at the movie theatres over the next few weeks.

Good morning, all! I stayed up too late watching features on SLEEPY HOLLOW and I slept in.  I have no plans today except to attend an engagement party for Ms Kim Criswell on the East Side.  I know there will be lots of laughs, since Ms C and I can be quite rambunctious when together, and I look forward to meeting her fiance.  I have no idea who else will be showing up, although I do see soprano Anna Christy, David Garrison and George Dvorsky amongst the names on her email invitation.

DR elmore - Could you possibly ask Anna Christy which school she went to?  For some reason, I think she went to my alma mater, Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU).  I've always been curious.

Add HOT FUZZ to my list, too. By far the best live-action comedy I saw all year.

Kim doesn't live in London anymore?

Was that the unreleased sister sequel to "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore"?

Guess I'll head down not to tidy up the bedroom and check the mail. Then, I'll start thinking about what's for lunch.

I'm still up because my legs are so itchy it's not even funny.  Why this is I have no idea, but it's really bugging me.  It doesn't look like I've been bitten or anything, but it's just impossible for me to fall asleep right now.

Do you have an increased urge to gambol?

Kim doesn't live in London anymore?  And she wasn't married when she did?  Say hi for me.

She's still London-based; her fiance is an American psychiatrist who lives and practices psychiatry in London.  They're getting married, I believe, next week in Chattanooga.  Her mom died in 2005, as I recall, and her dad's remarried. Her mother was ill when I met her parents at Goodspeed in 2004.  Kim was fantastic in CALL ME MADAM, BTW.

Thanks Cilla, Dakota, Jeanne, & Jose.  I didn’t mean for it to sound scary.  It isn’t, more annoying than anything.  I’ve had this so many years it is just routine, those anti-inflammatory meds just kicked it up a number of notches.  I guess it’s leveling off now.  I know tons of people who have uneven heart beats, it doesn’t mean anything.  I would have liked the test to confirm that & given me an idea if the not breathing thing is related to my heart.  My theory is I hold my breath as I’m drifting off to sleep, in order to keep from falling.  ;D Does anyone else have that sensation of falling as they fall to sleep?

Jeanne, you could be right about a magnesium deficiency, though blood work has never shown one.  My goal in the NY will be to find some sort of extra magnesium I can tolerate.

My lunchtime entertainment was the Follies clips that DR td posted about last night - fantastic!  And those led me to some clips from the old Mike Douglas TV show with the original Chicago cast - Chita Rivera, Gwen Verdon, Jerry Orbach - also fantastic!

Now I have to go back out among the great unwashed.

I am off to sing at a gay wedding.  There will be a cast of thousands, and a choir of about 50 people.  The groom and groom have been together 27 years, and I've known each of them for a good chunk of that time.   Should be fun!

DR Ginny - That's one of the things that I love and hate about YouTube, one clip leads to another and another, then suddenly an hour has passed, and you're thinking to yourself, "One more clip."  ;)
