DR JRand, you certainly generated a lot of interest in your A SHORT HISTORY. I ordered a copy as well, but I sprung for a new copy for 79 cents. Perhaps you could go to some other websites and tout the Kritzer books. :)

And this year, in honor of the release of Sweeney Todd, the movie, all Girl Scout cookies will be made from actual Girl Scouts.

DR MATTH - The Pwoject Wunway elimination was fine with me....I might have sent the team mate of the person home first....not sure why this person is still around.

I certainly agree with the winner(s) - but that doesn't make one of them any less annoying for me.

I don't know from the TOD. Most likely I have some favorite "light" classical music, however, I don't know exactly what is considered "light" classical.

Pwoject Wunway:

S P O I L E R S

Last night's challenge was a bit interesting once I got past the second or third PAIRING UP of designers this season.  Usually, that happens once in a season.   They seem enamored of it this season, though, and it truly stifles individuals from competing at their highest level.

The concept of teamwork, however, is not lost on me.  These folks are going to have to learn to work with teams and the show is as good a place as any to start.

I was surprised (don't know exactly why) that Chris and Kristian got along so very well last night.  Chris seems to thrive in a team situation and Kristian not so much.  But he got on like gangbusters with Chris and the two of them pulled off the judges' favorite look and they took the prize.

I was a bit put off by/put out with Romi, who was very self-absorbed and rude in his collaboration with Sweet Pea, whose "solo" project (the ready-to-wear outfit) was quite fetching.  Romi's dress (and Sweet Pea correctly stated Romi did not welcome her ideas/input) was more of same-old from him.  If Kit's dress hadn't been such a misfire, I'd have gladly watched Romi leave the show.

Victoria and Jillian really surprised me, especially Victoria who always seems like a "control freak" but who collaborated very well with Jillian, who is no slouch as a designer.  The two of them did very, very well...and I was a bit surprised when the judges selected Chris/Kristian over Victoria/Jillian.  I think Nina totally fell in love with that exaggerated collar on the organza dress!

Among the ready-to-wears, I thought Jillian's and Sweet Pea's were the best.  I think Kristian was correct, though, to think better of his and Chris' than did Tim who thought it looked a bit cheap.  It didn't look cheap at all,  and it solidified their win.  Jillian literally threw her ready-to-wear together in a couple of hours, practically sewing it onto the model during the fitting as she cut out each piece.  It looked really good even if Jillian was dissatisfied with it.

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

DR FJL - please note that with restraint, I refrained from illustrating DR Ron Pulliam's post with Cornish game hens, Cornish pastries, etc., etc.

I was pleased to note, during a viewing of "The Clock" last night, that Roger Edens made an on-screen appearance playing piano in a restaurant during the dinner scene with Judy G. and Robert W.

TOD:  this may or may not qualify, but Grusin's theme to "Heart is a Lonely Hunter" certainly has classical echoes (probably as an hommage to Mick, the teenager played so brilliantly by Sondra Locke).  The tune has been going through my head nonstop since I reviewed the DVD a week or so ago.  One of my all-time fave Grusin themes.
