One of the online dictionaries indicates that today's WOD is obsolete.

Does that mean we've succeeded in ridding the world of stupid people?

Speaking of Grusin themes, DR JMK:  do you know why the soundtrack to On Golden Pond has never been released on CD?

Not quite sure--was the OST LP on GRP?  The rights may have been gobbled up when Dave and Larry Rosen sold the label.  However, I'm pretty sure that Grusin (like Herb Alpert) retained ownership of all his masters.  It seems like a likely candidate for FSM.

HIALH did come out on some import CD--I've had it for years.  And Percy Faith's arrangement of that theme is incredibly incredible, with neat little Lydian flourishes at the end of every phrase.

Lydian Flourishes is of course the title of my next novel.

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And when I got the barbers this morning at 9:15 - they open at 9:00, the three chairs were already filled, and there were three other guys waiting for cuts.  Then me.  However, the wait wasn't too long, and I got some good magazine reading in.  And I was back here at the apartment a little after 10:30.  Not too bad.

And now, I'm waiting for my Chris to show up for a bit to "talking shop" and lunch.

Catching up on various posts:

Edi, my bro-in-law is an editor in L.A. best known for trailers.  He does a lot of the Pixar stuff, but was nominated for whatever the "trailer Oscar" award is a couple of years ago for his Ice Age spots.  He has a couple of features to his credit as well.  His boss at the trailer place is a big Edwards supporter which is how Jesse got into doing the Edwards spots for Iowa.

Jane, I'll have pics in a day or two--still re-adjusting to Pacific Time. Oy.  You and Keith need to stay with my sister and brother-in-law.  Keith and Mark are obsessively clean peas in a pod.  ;)

Assuming everything works out with everyone's schedules, it's now looking like our Seattle schedule for THE LAST STARFIGHTER will start after tax season after all, so my worries about my not being able to be fully available during the process are gone.  I may still have to fly back and forth one extra time for work reasons, but being after tax season will make it even easier for me to be available at pretty much all hours.  And of course Skip will be out there for the entire two weeks, with no interruptions.

DR FJL, I had somehow missed the news about a Seattle production of Starfighter. That's great!  Congratulations!!  And even better that the scheduling will more or less work for you both.

DR FJL - please note that with restraint, I refrained from illustrating DR Ron Pulliam's post with Cornish game hens, Cornish pastries, etc., etc.

:)

But no refraining/restraint from the "cornishiness", I see!
