Hello friends.

I have not dropped off the face of the earth.. I have manged to drop flat on my face in the car park behind my office.

I look rather as if I was the loser in a bar fight and my right arm and shoulder is quite painful... Sitting at the computer has become agony.

So love and hugs and vibes to you all

From everything I've read today, baby Aaron is considered by those in the know (show insiders) as the fifth member of the Oceanic 6. Now, these folks may just be selling us a bill of goods to keep us guessing or in the dark or misled or whatever, but that's what I've read today.

I began my evening of viewing with Sean Penn's INTO THE WILD. Based on a true, heart-rending story, I really enjoyed it. Sad and at the same time kind of joyful, too. Highly recommended.

And LOST fans will fell right at home with the flashback flashforward techniques used in the screenplay to tell the story.

There was a second disc of special features in the set, but I was surprised that there was so little on there. Two featurettes amounting to about 40 minutes of material combined plus a theatrical trailer. That's it! An entire second disc just for three items.

I found the direction of the film a little too busy. Penn seemed too interested in stuffing the film with all kinds of techniques (split screen, wipes, slow-mo, speed-ups, zooms) that drew attention to themselves. And at one point he lets the leading actor (who gives an outstanding and charismatic performance) jam his face right into the camera grinning which took me right out of the movie. Why on earth would he have kept in that shot?

Next, I finished COMPANY. Yes, I did find "Being Alive" exciting and emotionally involving. I didn't realize that they had added "Marry Me a Little" back into the show.

I ended my evening with the second half of the MONK season finale. As DR Elmore mentioned, it was a good mystery and a nice wrap-up to the season.

And Randy Disher's tribute song had me howling with laughter. He is so clueless!

How about Barbara Beaird?  She co-starred with Kevin Corcoran in "Toby Tyler"...I just won an insert for "Toby Tyler" in an auction.  It was one of my favorite movies as a child.

I have been trying to locate Barbara Beaird for an interview, but no luck...you know she worked in a film with a former HHWer many moons ago.

The next cat, I’m not going to have.

My mom had a silver tabby. It was the sweetest, smartest cat---Pyewacket.

And I made the mistake of discovering the Ocicat. Strong, big, confident, friendly to strangers, walks on a leash. If I didn't already have four cats...

I just watched the unreleased Harry Nilsson documentary. I am now deeply sad (he was like the Beatles to me) and am going to bed.

We will have a little extra snuggling with the love cat.
