Does an overcast sky mean there are a lot of sky understudies?

DR Cillaliz, I like your new avatar and your new haircolor.

Thanks TPunk and Thans to DR Jose for fixing the avatar for me

As for barbershops... Well... As the amount of hair product that people would put in their hair started to dwindle a few years ago - going for a more natural look - I'm guessing that helped the surge and hipness of barber shops.  I found a few of them while I was out there during What If.  And, yes, they were very popular - some even took appointments.  In any case... that's my theory for now.

I would guess as the amount of hair baby boomers need to cut dwindled, they may have decided a barber would be a good place to go.  A nice shave and a  haircut.

Yes, I enjoyed DR Cilla's photo ops last night and like the one she chose for herself. Be sure to incorporate the correctly cropped copy DR Jose did for you.
Thanks Matt. I did that right after I logged on today

If I colored my hair the same shade as DR Cillaliz, would I look nearly as lovely?   ;)

Paul and I went to Lowe's this morning after going to IHOP for breakfast.  I bought blinds for my bedroom to replace some old pull down shades and some of that window film that looks liked crackled glass for the door in my room that goes out to my little Juliet balcony.

This way I can take down the curtain that doesn't fit the door right and put the film on the window panes so I ca get some light and my neighbors still can't see in.   I better get busy working on it.

Back from my haircut and some grocery shopping.  Pretty day here in Oakland CA, even if the "call" is for a little rain this morning.

Our DS Rob's girlfriend is one of the dancers in

THIS REHEARSAL VIDEO

She's the one in the lavender outfit with cropped pants.

She's definitely the best dancer!

Interesting video.  If I were in town, I'd definitely go to see this!!

Thanks, DR Singdaw!  We won't see this performance, but will attend the end-of-the-quarter dance concert in 2 weeks at UC.  She's dancing and choreographing for that event.

Good Afternoon!

Well... I headed on down to the rehearsal to say, "Hi!"... And upon setting foot into the studio it was like I had set foot into some sort of sauna - although a sauna filled with about twenty male dancers in their dance attire.  And, yes, there was sweat and perspiration galore.  And I was even greeted with some partial hugs and kisses from some of those male dancers - "I'd hug you, but I don't want to get you wet."  ;)  I made the rounds, then headed back out into the cooler air.

Short and sweet.  And sweaty.  :P

-I was kind of surprised they hadn't cracked any of the windows or at least turned the ceiling fans on.  ???

I've called the first wave of the Brain cast to tell them they got the parts - I was supposed to do that on Thursday, only no one got me the phone numbers.  This morning they arrived and I was told they were sent earlier but that they bounced back - odd.

Then since I was already out and about, I decided to walk down to The Container Store in Chelsea.  On the way there, I did make a stop into D'Aiuto - Home of the "The Best Cheesecake On Earth!" - for some butter cookies and a coffee.  -Just a little knosh for my stroll. ;)

From Cilla:
Quote
I got a medium golden blonde. It looked pretty blonde on the box and I'm the only female in my family who isn't blonde.  Anyway, it turned out more of a strawberry blonde. I like it

Strawberry blond is my absolute favorite hair color, always has been.  Periodically throughout my life it has been my hair color.  I’ll have to hunt up an old photo of me with it.

I love your new do, and your beautiful new avatar.  It’s a great photo!

-And it appears that whatever the oil/boiler guy did last night to the boiler also seems to have regulated the temperature a bit better.  It was warm and toasty last night here, but NOT a sauna!  :)

Finally!  :D

Post 84 seems to have the bugaboo - Just modify it, no need to delete - or then this post will not make sense. ;)
