Just for tonight, though.  The rest of the week they don't have class.

 ;D  Sad but true.

Damn Yankees in New York this Summer

While I don't deny that Sean Hayes has talent (I think he was quite funny in the early seasons of Will and Grace before he and the others devolved into caricature and bad writing) and I will give him the benefit of the doubt but I have to say that the idea of him playing Applegate in this summer's revival of Damn Yankees (even with the wonderful Jane Krakowski as Lola) makes me more than a bit scared.
You'd rather Applegate be played by - dare I say it - Debra Messing?

I checked out the IAMS website & found 5 varieties of dried cat food in orange bags ::)

Hairball
Original with tuna
Original with chicken
Original with lamb & rice
Original with ocean fish & rice

DR George, I hope she has a bag of food for you to find.  If not I hope you can reach her on her cell.  I fear you would have done that at the market if you could.

I did not think anything from SCOPIOTONES could top Ms Joi Lansing's performances....but I do offer this clip for your edification, confusion, and head scratching wonderment.

Heavens above, that is about the strangest thing I have ever seen...and yet, I am oddly attracted to it.

I hope you can get past it.

Re-reading it, I guess it looks like I'm snarking Bretty, but I was actually not intending it that way at all.

He's received some rather blatant come-ons, IMO, in this forum.

It's the only thing keeping me going at this point!

Yes, DR Elmore will assure you all that I am quite refined.

DearReaderLaura was especially refined while laughing her head off at the dirty parts in BRAIN FROM PLANET X.

Is "insouciance: worth $10?

Yes, and I would say that dreamy insouciance is worth even a bit more!  ;)

I've had a very full night of viewing, and thanks to the DVR and its ability to record and be watched while still recording, I got my entire line-up of shows watched tonight spilling over only 10 minutes after 11.

I watched KISMET this evening before prime time started. Looks nice and has great sound, but it wasn't quite as razor sharp as I was hoping. Yes, better than the laserdisc and better than the DVD-R I reocrded off TCM, but still not the tip-top in sDVD transfers.

I think this is the first time watching KISMET that I realized how few close-ups Minnelli used in filming this movie. Very, very few.

MY NAME IS EARL had an average episode tonight. A couple of funny moments with the flea-brained Randy, but not at its peak.

30 ROCK had a very funny SURVIVOR parody, and the second half of the episode really caught fire for me.

THE OFFICE was the show that had me in hysterics, though. Very funny, painfully funny (as in laughing through awkwardness and pain which is the foundation of this show).

I just love these characters, but I'll be glad to see more of the other office regulars hopefully next week.

CSI had a not very compelling episode tonight. Sad story of the death of a child, but the unraveling of the mystery couldn't have been more rudimentary. The show did set up an obvious story arc for Catherine in the coming weeks.

And speaking of shocks, I certainly didn't see THAT elimination coming on IDOL. Couldn't have been more surprised!
