I have to tell you that I'm still experiencing numbness in my lips and bit of my left facial cheek.  It's really quite strange more than 12 hours after the last shot.

Thanks to those who offered vibes.  Much appreciated.

Yes, DR Jose, the next chocolatine I eat will definitely be weeks away.  The morning bun may be a bit further out.  And no more monkey bread for a while.

Butchaknowhat?  I was pondering just how much variety I was gonna be able to get into my diet over the next week or so...and it dawned on my that one thing was missing:  Puddin'!

That's right...chocolate puddin', vanilla puddin', butterscotch puddin'...and maybe even some banana puddin'.

I ain't had me no puddin' in quite a while.

Of course, soup, yogurt and mashed potatoes (preferably sweet potatoes, diet-wise) will be the mainstays.  I might puree some veggies of some sort if I think I can make' 'em tasty.

For lunch I had garlic/cheddar mashed potatoes.  Comforting, yes.  Tasty, yes (well, at least on the right side of my mouth).  But there's no nutritional value in smashed taters, I'm afraid.

I had a nice long nap this afternoon.  I then watched everything left on my DVR cache and now have 0% in my DVR memory.  What possibilities that offers up!

I, too, rewatched the "Ghost Whisperer" and "Moonlight" episodes and thoroughly enjoyed them.

The sandman has already stolen into my condo and started flinging sleepytime around.  I can barely keep my eyes open.

G'night!

Would either rice or tapioca puddings be too solid?

How about a nice Vichyssoise?

The opera program at Yale last night was interesting.  Bartok's Bluebeard's Castle is heavy, dark, and dense.  [I wasn't familiar with it going in].

Saturday morning greetings!  Today is the AAUW/Ohio 84th Annual Meeting/Convention and I will be very glad when 5pm rolls around.  The day is off to a much better start - a hot shower!

When I leave here, I'll pick up my niece Lauren and drop off our out-of-state speaker in Columbus and Lauren and I will proceed to Celina to meet her parents and my DH and DS.  Tomorrow, we're all off to Payne for Timothy's baptism.

Time to pack up the ol' MacBook and get downstairs for another day of conferencing.  Pray for Rosemary's baby (part 2)!

Bye for now!

Vibes for DR GINNY's conference and travel....probably a bit rainy for her today, as it is for us.  But that's okay!

TOD:

President Kennedy's funeral - so sad.  Maybe you had to be there, but even as a young person, it seemed to me that Jacqueline Kennedy kind of kept the country together by her dignified mourning, and her son's salute was a moment I will never forget.  I didn't expect that.

The Twin Towers of course, which because I was working, I heard about on the radio, but then later in the morning watched.  Hearing about the second plane and seeing it were TWO very different experiences.

FICTION:

Miss Elizabeth Montgomery's performance in A CASE OF RAPE.

But NONE of the NBC Must See or Special episodes of any comedy.

Good morning, all! DR Ron Pulliam, I hope you will be feeling perky in no time today. My first dental memories are of the drunken Dr Leggett my mother's family used, and he terrified of dientists for the remainder of my life. It's been over 20 years since I had dental insurance, thanks to the cheap shits who owned the Drama Book Shop, and my pathetic teeth have been at the mercy of NYU dental students ever since. I like the clinic, but after you've found a dentist you lke, they graduate and the next ambitious student has other plans for making his career on your dental problems. The last one terrified me so I haven't been back in several years, but it's time. If nothing else, all this angst has made me a confirmed supporter of government supported health and dental insurance.

Today, I have luncheon plans with Bruce Pomahac and a matinee of TAKE ME ALONG at the Irish Rep.  After that, back here to continue on the Duke Ellington scores.

TOD:  9/11 without a doubt; I was in London, so the disaster was horrifying for several reasons:
    1. I didn't know if any of my friends could be in danger and a friend of DR Ginny and mine from my hometown worked in one of the buildings in the Trade Center complex
    2.  I was completely powerless to do anything in the way of volunteering or anything else
    3.  I didn't know how this would affect my getting back to the USA or if I'd get back safely

I am up. I did not get to watch GHOST WHISPERER yet.

I just got my tv guide and see that one of my favorite shows, GOSSIP GIRL is starting again this week.  So I am online now trying to find out when it will start here in canada. I really hope it is this week!

I am old enough to remember the Kennedy assassination and its aftermath on television, right down to the moment in which Jack Ruby crept from the shadows and shot Oswald.
Neil Armstrong walking on the moon.
Ingrid Bergman proclaiming, "It's a tie!"
Nixon resigning.
The LAPD chasing the white Bronco.

The pull-back from Matthew Fox's eye to show the aftermath of the plane wreck.
Sammy Davis Jr smooching Carroll O'Connor.
Harry Belafonte smooching Petula Clark.
Rock Hudson's haggard entrance on DYNASTY.
Joan Collins' faboo entrance on DYNASTY.
