...removes his bedding from Larry's fire escape...

Hope the bedding has no "hitch-hikers".

As for the MTM reunion on "Oprah"... Be sure to check your local affiliates late-night rebroadcast schedule of the show.  The ABC affiliate here in NYC sometimes rebroadcasts the same episode at 1:00am that was broadcast that afternoon, and sometimes they don't.  And sometimes they will fill a "spare" late hour on the weekends with an "Oprah" show from the past week.

And as for "American Idol"...

The two finalists seem to have all the demographics covered.  David A. most definitely has the tween and 40+ support, and David C. has everyone else in between.  -I just really don't see - or hear - David A. making a "hip" record, or being a true "POP" star.  Yes, he'll be successful, but more in the Clay Aiken vein rather than Chris Daughtry.

Hmm... Denise Richards was just asked a question by Whoopi Goldberg concerning Ms. Richards new reality show and her children...  Now that was entertaining!  ;)

Well, since DR elmore is currently in the air - I think, I hope - right now, and since I happen to know the answer to this question...

Stew Pot is played by the wonderfully zany and very talented Victor Hawks.  I used to accompany him when he was a student at Catholic University.

DR RonP, who do you want to win AMERICAN IDOL?

To me it is not just about who was best last night. But who has been best for the ENTIRE season.

RE: IDOL and whether people who have a favorite will stop voting.

I think it depends.

I think there are some people who have a clear favorite. And if that favorite is eliminated, they get mad and they refuse to vote (and maybe even watch).

But i suspect that a lot of IDOL die-hard fans vote no matter what (just to vote).

Personally David Cook was not my favorite in the beginning. I then started liking him. But my favorite was still Brooke White. But after she was gone, i would have totally voted for David cook (if i was eligible to vote).

I did hear that some people were not able to get through at all. And this bothers me. I don't care if some people vote 100 times. But i think it becomes unfair if people cannot get through at all (in certain markets).

Ah yes, but best "what"?

IMHO David C. is the best concert performer, David A. the best recording star.

Did anyone see the Mary Tyler Moore show cast reunion on Oprah this past Monday?  I missed it.   :(

Never mind!  I discovered that you can order the transcript on her website.

Wanna DVD copy?

Daughtry is not POP, though.  He's rock.  And hard rock at that.  He's definitely in a niche.

David A., when he's a bit older, could easily move into the market currently dominated by Justin Timberlake.  His songs don't all sound alike, which I cannot say about David C.

I have liked David C.'s intensity and the imaginative vocals, but the songs all seem to depend upon a slide, a falsetto, a quiet moment or a head-banging moment.  They're all nice touches designed to enhance a song that otherwise doesn't stand apart from any of his other vocals.  I can see him drawing crowds and selling CDs.  But despite all of Paula's yadda-yadda about his "range", I feel he hovers around the same note.

Isn't it more likely that he was your favorite character because of the way Ken Clark looked and played it?

And will all of Italy Blame Jose?

der Brucer

If it's discovered that Blame-it-on-Jose gave David a culinary tour of NYC and introduced him to Levain, then you betcha the Italians will give him the "hook 'em horns" signal, which in Italy is one of the worst things you can get (it means your brother slept with your wife and fathered your children, or something equally heinous).

To me it is not just about who was best last night. But who has been best for the ENTIRE season.

I've admired David Cook, but I think he's had as many "off" performances as has David Archuleta.  Many times, the judges praised what I thought was an "okay" performance.  But Archuleta won praise for similar "okay" performances.  If you go by the judges, I think David A. has gotten more of their praise than David C. for the duration of the competition.

I've enjoyed -- and remember with vivid clarity -- several David A. performances.  I only have vague memories of a few David C. ones.
