I am watching Iowa's own Shawn Johnson trying to defend her national gymnastics championship.  We are all very proud of her.  Well at least those of us who have heard of her are ;)

Better check my last load of laundry. We were just added to the tornado watch and there is something I need from the office, so I'm thinking I should go get it now.

MBarnum - I see from Brandon's online resume that he starred in a school production of STAR WARS.  Did he talk about this, and if so, was it a musical?

I didn't even notice that credit until later. We mostly talked about his movie roles, so I am not sure. He took down my phone and e-mail so when I hear from him I will find out.

I did watch an NCIS episode. An NCIS agent is killed and the search is on for the killer. This opened the door for Sean Murray to enter the series as a regular.

Just relaxing now until time for the celebrity banquet and the Superman radio show enacted by the celebrity guests...should be fun...hope the food is good since the tickets were $38.00 (for non celebrities like me).

No discs in the mail, alas!

Well, you are welcome to drop by here and help with mine:

Spiderwick Chronicles (just forward me your review, I'm sure it will be fine  ;D)
John Adams
Bucket List
Prehistoric Earth (big boxed set)
Mannix Season 1
Two Fat Ladies (big boxed set of old BBC comedy series)
Robin of Sherwood (big boxed set of old BBC fantasy series)

Oy.  Luckily, I'm through with Spiderwick, about halfway through Adams and Bucket List, and have a couple episodes of Mannix done.  But this is one heckuva lot of stuff to have to get through in the next few days!

In honor of 1938, the year most of them got their SAG cards.   ;D

Due to several phone calls, I wasn't able to get to SPIDERWICK CHRONICLES today, so will watch those features tonight.

No thanks. I passed on MANNIX and took JERICHO instead. I'll be doing that tomorrow.

Had some very nice chats today...found out that Kenny Miller and Claudia Barrett both live right near each other...I am sure they will get together for lunch...I think Laurie Mitchell developed a crush on Gregg Palmer! LOL!

Chatted with a couple of older gentlemen who are friends with John Dye from TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL...I always really liked John Dye...

...and found out that Kenny is good friends with Matt Battaglia, of all people! They have known each other since the late 80s back in Florida.

...and had a wonderful chat with the Perreau sisters, Gigi and Janine...both ladies are lots of fun!

Merrily We Roll Along
Oh, Brother!

Well, this is pretty cool:  PBS to Air Chess in Concert, with Menzel, Pascal and Groban, in 2009!!  I wonder if it'll be available for purchase?? :D

I wish I could have seen STEEL PIER.  I was in New York in '97 to see the first preview of TITANIC.  When the TITANIC preview was delayed from Friday to Sunday, I had to flip a coin between seeing two other shows in preview, STEEL PIER and JEKYLL AND HYDE.  I lost the coin toss and saw JEKYLL AND HYDE.  I did think that Robert Cuccioli was very good in the role, but I wasn't terribly impressed with Linda Eder (maybe she had an off-night).

Hmmm i must have been in NYC around the same time. Because i saw all 3 of those shows (TITANIC was my favorite!).

TCB, was your avatar photo taken in JRand57's front yard?

Nope, but probably the middle of Main Street.

Good afternoon. Today I walked, and then I walked some more. Then I bought a passion vine at Lowe's and spent some time (get this) moving caterpillars to it. They seemed grateful. Then I delivered a food box. The person who called and requested it was not at the apartment when I got there with the food; I hope the people who took it don't eat it all and some will be saved for the baby.

What's scares me is I sometimes find myself humming the tune to "Local on the 8s"

I love "Local on the 8's"!

In Weather Channel news, Turner is considering buying The Weather Channel. They are in a bidding war with NBC, but it seems to make more sense for Turner to aquire it since it's based here (in Marietta). I hope Turner gets it!

A vine that I've never seen before has covered my hydrangeas. It's very delicate so I don't think it will hurt anything if I leave it on them for awhile. It's blooming right now, with the tiniest yellow flowers and a little watermelon-shaped fruit. I found out on the internet that we have a Guadaloupe Cucumber!
