Speaking of BK's Combo Louis (weren't we?), I am not a fan of crab, but the idea of a lobster and shrimp louis sounds like heaven to me.  Of course, I could always sneak the crab meat under the table to Angel.  Nicky doesn't eat people food.

Having eaten my cheese & crackers and apple at 11:30, I could go for some crab, lobster, or shrimp louie about now!

The Red Wind Casino that I like to go to for lunch and dinner has a great buffet.  At lunch and dinner, almost every day, they have bowls and bowls of Dungeness crab legs.  I am probably the only person at the buffet that doesn't focus on the crab legs.

Last week, I pigged out on the best tuna casserole I have ever tasted, while everyone else filled up on crab.

DR TCB, as I told the woman on the phone (twice), I can read the words as they're printed in the newspaper, but I cannot interpret them.  She kept asking me, "So, what does that mean?"

Actually, I'm taking 2 hours of comp time and leaving in 8 minutes.  But who's counting?

What have I done?  Evey post being made by anyone other than myself is also being sent to me as an e-mail.

That happens to me every now and then and I have to go into Notifications and fix it.

Back from the long jog on the now not so new route.  It was fine save for the last half-mile.  I did see where they shot one of the Adam 12 exteriors at the nearby school, but the gym field portion wasn't shot there - I did see a hazy street sign in the episode that said, I think, 4900 Ventura Ct.  That seemed very strange to me as I know of no such street in this nabe and even if there were a Ventura Ct. here it wouldn't be that number, unless it was 4100 and even that probably wouldn't work around here.  That has my interest piqued so I'll do some research.

You got me there, TCB!  Now if you'd only extend your reach to HERE!   ;)

And relative to you, Netflix also sent me today, THE WINDY CITY INCIDENT, filmed partially in the great Northwest - Olympia, Tacoma. . .oh, and it's a horrible film.

Got humid very fast here. Ugh! There have been enough clouds to keep the sun from being too intense, but the humidity more than makes up for it.

I finished the last 20 minutes of the episode on THEODORE ROOSEVELT. So sad when he lost his beloved youngest son during World War I.

Very well done segment of the show.

Good morning, all! I think on Monday I will call my doctor and set up a date because the stomach problem continues and I am not amused in the least. Some of it may be guilt at canceling on Matthew at the last minute and my awareness that I need to find something else ASAP to celebrate his birthday. I'm also a bit concerned by the ailment since it could be one of several things that most likely won't perk up my spirits.

Next, I put on disc one in the WOODROW WILSON case, and it's done by a completely different directing-writing team. It's also 16:9 (nonanamorphic) whereas ROOSEVELT was 4:3.

If they're going to do it widescreen, they SHOULD enhance it for widescreen TVs. It's STUPID not to do this.

Anyway, the first disc got Wilson through his life up to the end of his first term and the death of his first wife. Lots of interesting facts. They do some reinactments in this one, and I don't care much for those. There must be a paucity of footage and stills on Wilson from this period of his life.

Today the temeprature in Tacoma is supposed to be between 96 and 98 degrees.  The only comfort I have is that whatever termperature we get, it will still be one degree cooler than what DR George is experiencing.

Bitch.

Watched the bonus stuff on disc 1 of the WILSON set. They have a string of historians you can click on to give their opinions on his most valuable legacy, and each pops up in a window to give his opinion which runs about a minute.

There are also similar pop-up sections of World War I posters where a narrator explains who designed it and what its primary importance is.

It's freakin' hot down here.  I need to go to work for a couple of hours, but they don't turn on the air conditioning on the weekends. :P So, it'll be warm there, too.  After that, I think I'll go to Dairy Queen for lunch, where it's air conditioned all year round...even in the winter! ;) Well, it always seems like it's air conditioned in there, during the winter.

I mistakenly read a post by that guy who I usually avoid (or who has been totally absent). I thought it was a line from a Noel Coward Autobiography.

What an inventive way to get emails from strangers.
