I won't jog until 9:30 or 10:00 and why are we suddenly in Cinemascope?

I don't get that effect on this end, so what must I change to correct the ratio for everyone else?

Is it the greeting or is it the banner at the bottom?

I removed the banner, BK.   Did that fix the problem, or was it my greetings to Jose and Jrand?

I very much enjoyed -- if that is appropriate to the story line -- last night's "The Closer."  I really enjoy it when key characters get great moments in the sun.  That closing scene was heartbreaking.

I found "Saving Grace" very unsettling as the character called Ham continued on his path to self-destruction.

I don't really "get" this relationship he has with Grace that is more than "partner" but less than "lover".  The actor is fantastic and he presented a tortured, really messed-up portrait of a guy on the verge of something tragic.

It's a long time until March to see how it resolves itself.  But the writers may just go off in a different direction.

How do you guys watch GILLIGAN'S ISLAND, then?

I got my fill of Gilligan decades ago.

It rained during the night, and it is still cloudy and humid. A lovely day.

I'm sure we've had several words before - it's impossible for me to remember and I just do the ones that don't seem familiar.  I think we've been doing these for a good two years now.

BK needs a list.

Oh, he needs a little list
Yes, he needs a little list
And the words will sure be twist
Oh, yes, they will be twist!

Der B wants on.

And I want to get to the Farmer's Market before too terribly long.

(That's a hint, for when der B gets caught up, of course.   ;D)

I know not about the TOD, but ask me about Gilligan's Island and I will have an opinion.

Thanks to all for the birthday wishes, GINNY, JEANNE, JENNIFER, DAKOTACELT, MBARNUM, RP, MATTH, SWW, DR JOSE of course, and I hope I didn't miss anyone.

DR JEANNE let me know how your reading goes.

So far so good for me today.  I am wearing my disco shirt and have only have positive people to talk to.

I also found a friend on Face Book who is now in NYC, not sure if he is still doing theatre, but he would be fun to hang out with for the HHW crowd.

I will find out what he is up to in a day or so.

Your natural ignorance, DR MBarnum, is amazing and your defense of it awe-inspiring!

Thank you to everyone for your well-wishes for my nephew. He hasn't had much plastic surgery done yet. Since he's relying on the VA, it's been difficult for him to get appointments and such. And I think he's been living with that face for so long, he's gotten used to it, so he's not pushing too hard. The majority of the work he's had done has been on his jaw and teeth (he lost 6 teeth). They had to rebuild part of his jaw from bone taken from his hip and he had false teeth screwed into the new piece of jaw.

By the way, the Florida recount was eventually finished after everything was over. It turns out that the only way Gore could have won was if all the over-votes (ballots with both Bush and Gore's names punched) were counted for Gore, which obviously wouldn't have been right either. So, the only way to undo the damage done by the butterfly Florida ballot was to have a re-vote. But legally, the entire country has to vote on the same day, so the entire country would have had to vote again. So, here's my question to you all: Considering how much people don't like to vote, just because of the inconvenience, do you think a second nation-wide election would have had less voter turnout because people would be so disgusted by the whole thing, or do you think there would be more turnout because people would know how close the race was and would really feel that their votes matter?
