True, but DR elmore is also eating small portions throughout the day.

So true about shoes that don't support properly, for jogging or walking.

One battle at a time, DR Jane.  One battle at a time.  ;)

YEAH!

I just asked my Dad what time he wanted to head back to the hospital tonight to get his car.  He said he didn't want to take a chance, and will just stay here tonight, and get the car tomorrow when my brothers are here.

He's actually listening!!!!!!

OH!

And my Mom looked great!  She's making great strides already, and there's a chance she could be coming home as early as Monday afternoon!

*I also found out that they've already arranged for a nurse to come to the house three times a week for the next month.  :)

DR Jose, listening and probably too exhausted to go back.  Your Dad had better get lots of rest before Monday.

DR Jose, I hope your brother makes it there soon, I know it will be a comfort to you.

Thanks, DR Jane.  However, it looks like that neither Don or Mike will be making it down tonight.  However, since my brother, Mike, will be coming down tomorrow with his kids, that means he'll be heading back up to Fairfax tomorrow evening.  -And I will ride back with them, and then catch a bus or train from there back up to NYC - where it will be much, much easier to do so.  So, it's all working out for the better.

Thanks for the vibes.  I really think this is a no win situation.  Seems if we contest & lose the first round we can pay another $25 to contest again.  If we win all is returned, if not they keep it.  I have a feeling their goal is to make as much money as possible & it would be a very expensive trip to contest the ticket.

BINGO!  Meaning you got it. Parking tickets and tickets for many other minor offenses are money makers for cities.

DR Cillaliz, I think you will like WW. I joined in July and without making a concerted effort, have lost 17 lbs aas of today. Of course, I need to lose so much that I don't even feel like I've lost anything, but it has definitely changed my way of eating by making me more aware of which foods have a high point value and I'm now trying to make healthier choices. I use the online tools to keep track of points and it's very easy. I even lost when I went to NY, despite the mozzarepa, the macarons and Nobu!

Congrats on the 17 pounds!  I really do think I'll like it.  It's going to take me a while to figure out  the point values when I cook for myself,  but I'm ready to learn it.  I also bought a bunch of their frozen dinners/desserts etc (they were on sale) so when I don't have time to think about it, I can do the points easily.   I'm very excited about it.   I got the monthly pass with online tools, I also got the electronic point calculator so I can do it easily.

I'm back from killing time.  Time deserved to be killed, frankly.  I did do the long jog this morning, but I wasn't ready to do it, and it now feels like I've destroyed every muscle in my back and legs.  I'm so sick of feeling yucky and this flu or whatever it is just sticks - you start to feel better, then you feel worse, then you feel better, then worse.

Have you tried resting?

The mail has been coming later & later, which means I'm missing it when we return from our daily hike.  Guess I'll take another walk since I have been adding pounds, not losing them.

I bought a new vacuum cleaner today. I couldn't really afford it, but the previous one I bought was a piece of junk...of couse it was also very cheap.

I will now unbox it and vacuum the pounds of dog and cat hair that has accumulated in my home.

Maybe you should "brush" up some of that cat and dog hair first so that you don't break your newly purchased vacuum.  I mean, you always have to have good suction.

OMG!   You saw Kevin Bacon in the flesh (so to speak)?

And Mr. Bacon like his hamburgers too!

Were they bacon cheeseburgers perhaps? ;)

I think I may have mentioned this before, but...

There were a series of TV movies and "regular" movies that were being filmed in Richmond over the period of about a year and a half.  It turned out that either Kyra or Kevin was working on one of them, and usually back to back.  So, both Kevin and Kyra became regulars at the two restaurants down the street from my apartment.  Kevin would also sometimes break out his guitar and play an impromptu set, and if his brothers happened to be traveling through, then the "Bacon Brothers" would make an appearance too.  And Mr. Bacon like his hamburgers too!

Mmmmmmm, a Bacon burger!

Oh, you beat me to it. I figured someone would

Yes, I have a little fridge at the office that has a freezing compartment that holds about one or two of those little boxes.  We also have a microwave so I've been taking them every so often.  It's something I do during the winter a lot. That and get the single portions of soup that you can put in the microwave.

Got the Blu-rays of Romancing the Stone and Jewel of the Nile to review today.  Betsy and I started RTS and I must say it is a wonderful film--I had forgotten how funny it was.
