I'm up, I'm up - I wanted to get up a little sooner, but I actually was up before it got light out, but I stayed in bed and then I guess I fell asleep at some point.  She of the Evil Eye is sitting in her car and I'm sure will knock on the door in about ten minutes - I am not ready to jog, but I guess I'll try to be by about nine-fifteen.

Hard to believe that on this day in October of 2001, I received some legal papers from a certain company that would teach more about evil than I ever needed to know.  It wasn't just a Touch Of Evil - it as a whole wall of evil.  Perhaps I'll read a work of fiction today - oh, yes, I think I'll pull out a novel by my very own self entitled Rewind.  Haven't looked at it in quite some time.

She of the Evil Eye has entered the home environment and I am dressed for the jog.  I am not ready to begin the jog, however.

TOD:

There are so many crime shows I've loved down through the years. Among my favorites:

DRAGNET

PERRY MASON

ADAM-12

COLUMBO

ELLERY QUEEN

MURDER SHE WROTE

LAW & ORDER

MEDIUM

THE SHIELD

CSI (the first five years)

BURN NOTICE

THE CLOSER

What - no  BONES?

Yeah!  I just got off the phone with my good friend, Chris, who's been in Denver the past two months with a show.  It was sooo nice to talk to him again, and it was just the perfect mid-day pick-me-up for my spirits. :)

I'm not a big fan of crime shows.  Der B loves 'em.

The closest I come to a crime show that I enjoy these days is Pushing Daisies.  Well, that and Eureka.

I don't think of Eureka as a crime show.  Funny, since the main character is the sheriff.

Thanks for the vibes.  I really think this is a no win situation.  Seems if we contest & lose the first round we can pay another $25 to contest again.  If we win all is returned, if not they keep it.  I have a feeling their goal is to make as much money as possible & it would be a very expensive trip to contest the ticket.

The Tarte Tatin was with apples.  Tatin is apparently the name of a hotel in France, where the tart originated.  The cook was going to make a traditional apple pie, and the filling was cooking too fast, so she put just the top pastry on top of the apples and cooked it quickly in the oven.  When she instinctively turned it upside town, the hotel guests really went for it and culinary history was made..

I really think this is a no win situation.

You could ignore it and become fugitives, and run away to some hippie wilderness is some place like south-western Oregon.

Does anyone here have any interest in three lobby cards from BEAUTY ON PARADE, with Lola Albright, that were shipped to me by mistake?  Yours for shipping costs if you want.

Why don't you just re-list them on E-bay and hope that the "intended" buyers bids on them again?  ;)

Is LADIES OF THE  STREET the same as STREETS OF SHAME? If so it is a wonderful film! I haven't seen it in about 20 years, but back in the 1980s I rented the video many times.

OK - I need to get ready to head back over to the hospital.  My brother, Don, won't be heading down until later this afternoon, so we may just forego rearranging the "media setup" until two weeks from now.  -Although, there's also been rumor about a new laptop for my Mom, so, we'll see.

The Big Yawn was indeed the pre-quel to the Big Sleep; the first sequel was called The Loved One; other sequels all had "Living Dead" in their titles.
