Well, you've read the notes, the notes were an experience, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently at Costco buying huge things of cud.

LA TIMES

Quote
Gay rights backers file 3 lawsuits challenging Prop. 8

Lawyers for same-sex couples argue that the anti-gay marriage measure is an illegal constitutional revision

Lawyers for same-sex couples argued that the anti-gay-marriage measure was an illegal constitutional revision -- not a more limited amendment, as backers maintained -- because it fundamentally altered the guarantee of equal protection. A constitutional revision, unlike an amendment, must be approved by the Legislature before going to voters.

The first action was filed by the ACLU, the National Center for Lesbian Rights and Lambda Legal. Santa Clara County and the cities of San Francisco and Los Angeles also sued, and Los Angeles lawyer Gloria Allred filed a third suit on behalf of a married lesbian couple.

All the lawsuits cited the constitutional revision argument, and two of them asked the court to block Proposition 8 from taking effect while the legal cases were pending.

Beavers build a burrow and the town gives a dam

Noah Berger / Associated Press

A member of the beaver family creating tension in Martinez, Calif., gathers dam-building twigs during an evening swim.

My Mother had a beautiful full-length beaver coat.

She was not uncomfortable wearing fur - of course her father was a Furrier :)

TOD:

I thought "Pleasantville" was extremely well done for what it was and achieved the proper moods.

B&W: "Brief Encounter" (those deep blacks and wonderful silver whites)  "Sunrise"  "Citizen Kane"

Most things Coppola did -- who was it that he used?  Laszlo Kovacks!

"Enchanted April"  "Funny Face"   (especially if you see a good print where the colors are not washed out)

The Adventures of Robin Hood.

Of course, it's really the cinematographer paired with whoever is doing the lighting that creates the best films, visually.  As usual with anything cinematic, teamwork is the key.

I have to pick up my "films" from the radiologist ina about 45 minutes and thern go to the ENT Dr (no NOT a walking talking tree, I have been assured)

My GP callled yesterday to say that the films not only showed a mass in my lymph node but also nodules on the right half of  my thyroid (they removed the left thyriod lobe about 20 years ago...)

I am scared

BK - In terms of delaying buying your plane ticket and finding you a place to stay, is your Bacharach to the Future producer considering that you are flying on Thanksgiving weekend, at least on the way to NYC?
