There are two commentary tracks, and I sampled both of them. Ben Stiller (as writer and director and star) is on both tracks. The others in the first are member of the production team. Co-stars Jack Black and Robert Downey, Jr. (who stays in character) are on the second one. They're both OK tracks, but who wants to listen to 4 hours of commentary.

Had a little lobster salad and righteous red potato salad - very tasty.  Later, I may have a couple of eggs.  Hopefully, there will be more packages at the mail place - if not, I have to write an online dealer in France - I wrote yesterday, but I'm beginning to think they have no one there who can understand English - odd, since they sell to America.  Could anyone here translate what I wrote into French?  Or steer me to some place online that could?

And please, I ask again to stop with the volatile political comments.  It does no one any good.

Can't we discuss politics without trashing candidates, just the basis of how things work instead?

I wonder who he wanted, and why did he permit himself to be persuaded to go with someone else.  It is one of my big issues with how the VP is chosen.

My initial choice was Linda Lingle - the Jewish women Governor of Hawaii -

My initial choice of women, of course I too would want to know more about her.

I just think the VP pick should represent the party Presidential pick, not someone who doesn't. ;D (I'm in a hurry & must walk Sherlock)

My opinion of Sarah Palin:  stupid bitch.

And I couldn't care less if that's considered sexist or not.

I think it isn't in the spirit of discussing the way politics works without trashing anyone.

I'm going to hop off-line now and do some writing. Then back downstairs to watch as many bonus features of TROPIC THUNDER as I can squeeze in before 8:15 or so when I start watching UGLY BETTY on the DVR.

The press (selective) we had in the land of OZ would suggest that DtM's impression of Ms Palin was right on! She should not have been put in that position.

Does any DR know how I can quote something from yesterday without copying/pasting?

I don't know of any other way.

Why wouldn't you want to juts copy and paste? That seems like the easiest thing.

I can translate what you wrote into french.

Or you could just type in "language translator" and put your words in there. If you want i could read it after and see that it makes sense.

Syringes Sold at Wal-Mart Recalled

WASHINGTON (Nov. 6) - U.S. health officials warned doctors and patients on Wednesday that Covidien Ltd was recalling nearly half a million single-use syringes that could pose a serious risk to diabetics.

The Food and Drug Administration said the possibly mislabeled ReliOn syringes could lead to patients receiving an insulin overdose of as much as 2.5 times the intended dose, leading to low blood sugar levels and serious health consequences, including death.

Have you tried a site called babelfish bk?

I know some French but I suspect Jennifer's skills are far stronger than mine.

There are two other movies I really like due to the beautiful scenery of Ireland...

Secret of Roan Inish
Playboy of the Western World (1963)

Another movie that I liked the cinematography in was documentary called The Blood is Strong.

Just watched FIRST A GIRL....the English Jessie Matthews movie that was some of the inspiration for VICTOR/VICTORIA.  It was an okay movie....and Mr Edwards certainly took several plot points for his movie.

The movie rests on Matthews who is not the prettiest or most talented gal in the flickers, but she does a pretty good job as Victor....worth seeing if you are a V/V fan.

I also thought some of the photography in MICHAEL COLLINS was good but some of the acting less so.

Julia Roberts is a decent actress but she should not do an Irish accent...
