SORE TO MY CORE

Well, you've read the notes, the notes were sore but hopefully not a bore, and now it is time for you to post until the sore to their core cows come home.

Jose, you're right about the vibe of Blue Chili - tables are also way too close to each other.  But the food was splendidly splendid.

Cool beans, don't know that I've ever had that happen before.

Now I must go, tomorrow will be here very soon and I have many miles to drive.

Night all

Before I go....TOD

I usually just order Pad Thai. Not very original.

Chinese, I like a wide variety of things...don't know that I have a favorite, it changes by my mood.  Best I've had was in San Francisco, but not sure of the name of the restaurant.

No Cilla, the procedure was not the least bit painful -- it felt a little "weird" and my neck was  a little stiff afterwards because I had to be still for nearly an hour while they set everything up - but I have been told that when we start the treatments it will only take about 15 minutes a day

TOD:  Dish of Salt restaurant, which I frequented when I worked in the area in the 1980's - the fried rice was especially great, IIRC

After the doctor I stopped by the Target to see if they had an advertised special - I was not very hopeful since it was past 1 and doors had opened at 4  or 5 AM - when I gor tehre soem one was puling out from the spot nearest the door and I slipped right in

I went to the proper department and asked for the item and the kid answered:

"If it's not on the floor than we don't have any"

His manager heard his answer and asked what I was looking for and the kid just shrugged

So I spoke up and the manager said  " We have a whole pallet of those!"

He went off and retunred with not only the item but also a shopping cart  - I was in and out in 15 minutes

bk - If you're sore when you get up tomorrow, it probably means that you're "over-exercising" right now and suffering from self-induced exhaustion. -There is such a thing as "too much exercise".

One of the "dangers" of the treadmill is to push yourself and your limits a little faster than one probably should.  If you've never run at that pace before, nor the distance, jump-starting your workout load in the midst of a stressful work-week isn't going to help matters.

Slow down.  Take it easy.

As for the Topic of the Day...

Hmm... Lots of candidates...

However, Prosperity Dumpling down in Chinatown immediately comes to mind.  Five pork-and-chive dumplings (fried) for $1.00.  Soooo good.

*I also ordered a Sesame Pancake filled with Beef - that was $2.50.  Not the prettiest food, but some of the tastiest.

TOD:

The best Chinese food I ever ate was at KIM'S in Medford. My family has eaten there since the 1950s, unfortunately it closed just a couple of years ago.

My favorite dishes at Kim's were Kim's Foo Yung, Pressed Duck (man was that good!), and their Pea Pod Chow Yuk.

Thank you DR MBarnum.

Kim's closed before we ate there.  Maybe it is best we didn't find out what we are missing.

Time to come off my cloud.

Vixmom, the first time that this happened to me, I just hit the back button on my browser and the original reply box was there with my message.  I don't remember which browser I was using (I use four) but it was probably Internet Explorer.
