Good afternoon. I have just finished emptying out and vacuuming my car. This was not as mundane a task as you might think.
My car has always been a source of guilt for me. I tend to let things pile up, tossed in the backseat with the thought "I'll come get it later" and "later" never seems to come. As a result I had papers back there from some concerts and conferences I went to in 06, not to mention a collection of mismatches gloves, CD's, jackets and sweatshirts, old make-up, hats, empty water bottles, a pair of nylons (Hey, tell me I'm not the first lady to strip her nylons off once she gets in the car for a long drive home) some baby stuff, and a melange of other various debris.
I brought it ALL into the house, piled it in a pile, and mercilessly began to throw away whatever I didn't absolutely need in the car (like the ice scraper and a gift card to Starbucks) I now have a large bag of trash to throw away, some CD's to file, a few empty coffee cups already in the dishwasher, some laundry to do, and a perfectly EMPTY car.
I then went through with the vacuum and cleaned up every crumb and pine needle.
Then I used the some vinyl cleaning wipes to clean all the non-cloth surfaces.
My car is unrecognizable as my own. DH Jed is going to faint when he comes home.
I feel very good about this, as you can tell

And my darling son slept through the entire thing in his swing, not waking up for the vacuuming or anything.
