Yesterday, I went to work and actually got some work done.  After that, I went downtown to "usher" for Putt Putt Palooza miniature golf (it's a fund raiser for the Washington Center for the Performing Arts) and I mainly just stood there and directed people to the next "hole."  Then I went to my sister's for some vegetarian nachos with the family.  She used some kind of textured soy product instead of ground meat and it was very good.  She did have real cheese and light sour cream (my niece is vegan, so she used soy cheese and no sour cream) and standard nacho toppings and veggies.  My parents and niece played Phase 10 (I got there after they started) and a good time was had by all.  I was there for several hours then came home to find that my cat had thrown up downstairs in my living room. :P Fortunately, it was very easy to clean up.

And now, I'm just catching up with all the posts. :)

My sister also made vegan chocolate cupcakes with cookies-and-cream frosting.  Those were GOOD! ;D

I'm listening to a Frederic Talgorn CD.  I'm not quite ready to go to bed yet.

I think my computer has a virus...trojan...something. :P I keep getting this pop-up banner saying that my computer is being attacked from the Internet and how should this program (that I downloaded and installed...my bad...but uninstalled) handle it.  NOOOOO!!  I ran my McAfee virus software that Larry, my sister's boyfriend, put on my computer when he built it, but it never finds anything.  Larry said that I should uninstall that and reinstall it from Comcast.  Comcast customers get McAfee for free.  Since I was only sort of shown what to do with it when he built my computer, I don't really know how to use it.  I hope this works.  So far, nothing bad seems to be happening on my computer, except for this pop-up banner every 10 minutes or so. :-\

So, I must leave the Internet for the night and see how to uninstall McAfee so that I can reinstall it.

Good night all...and wish me luck.

Due to my many naps today I was not at all tired when it came to be bedtime...so I went grocery shopping instead. Now it is 1:30 in the a.m.

Not speaking at all is feeling very wierd to me.  I occassionally write down things I want to say but I find it is so much trouble that I don't say a lot unless it's important

I wonder if I will so carefully consider what I say when my voice comes back?

And the word of the day is: VICTUALS!

We have a restaurant near us called VITTLES, but we always refer to it as VICTUALS.

It's okay....and better than nothing.
