Thank you all for the birthday wishes; you really are my family of choice!

To celebrate I will totally ignore all football and especially the Superbowl!

You are my kind of guy!!!  ;D

I forgot it was the Super Bowl until I decided to walk over to the grocery store. Mistake!!! At 11:30 all New York football fanatics were at my grocery store buying things for their various and sundry parties. I saw the lines at the register and left. I did get to another store though to buy the eggs I needed.

We are having hearty meat loaf with mashed potatoes and green beans for dinner tonight. I just finished getting the meat loaf ready. It will go into the oven around 3:45.

Hi all!  Just popping in for a quick moment.  Things are progressing with the house but not as fast as I would like.

I do hope to be home by Valentines day.  At least that is the plan.

I also hope that everyone here is doing well.

Thank you so much for the DVD, DR George!  I haven't had time to watch it yet but it is on my "to do" list.  A list that seems to grow with each passing day.  :)

I had my annual sleep study done on Friday night.  A week early because they had a cancelation.

I couldn't sleep without the mask.  I guess it's so ingrained in my head that if I don't wear it I could stop breathing and not start back up again that I just couldn't settle down until I had it on.

They let me try until midnight and then had to switch me to the mask--after that, I fell right asleep without any problem.

DR Danise - Are you taking pictures of the not-as-fast-as-you-would-like progress?  -Although, I guess you could take some comfort in knowing that "not-as-fast-as-you-would-like" is more the norm than the exception. How is Sheena doing?  Have you been able to visit her in the kennel?

They let me try a new, more comfortable mask that I really liked.  The tech made a note of it and said he would let the doctor know that I got along with it even better then the old mask.

I hope my insurance will let me switch.

I am figuring that I will get to see most of the second half of the Super Bowl today.  GLORIOUS runs approximately 2 hours; 5 minutes with the intermission.  The cast is expected to do the "meet and greet" with the audience after the show, but I may just put in a brief appearance.  The house is practically sold out today.

I'm sure there will be some audience members in attendance today who will also be wondering how the game is going.  Maybe the theatre could set up a TV on stage during the "meet and greet"?  ;)

I take photos every time I go to the house so I have a record of it.

Sheena is doing well--so I'm told.  I haven't been to see her because after taking about it to the kennel people and some dog friends I decided I didn't want her to get excited and think she was going home when she wasn't.

The kennel people just love her and have told me they take her out to play even more often then I'm paying for because they just like her so much.

I really, really, REALLY miss my girl.  :(   I can't wait for us both to be home.  I thought of her today around ten because that's dog park time.

DR Charles Pogue - "Little Eyolf" becomes "Mrs. Affleck"?  Hmm...

Jose, sadly, it didn't become much of anything.  One prominent critic suggested a more enjoyable evening might be spent tearing out one's fingernails by the roots.

Just curious: What were the updated names of the characters?  Especially for "Borghejm".

"Little Eyolf" was my friend's directing thesis project in college, so I was more or less immersed in that world via osmosis for a few months. ;)

Wrote four pages, finished the chapter I was on, and am now printing them out, after which I'll Xerox then deliver to muse Margaret.  After which, I'll return and do the long jog.

:P I keep getting this pop-up banner saying that my computer is being attacked from the Internet and how should this program (that I downloaded and installed...my bad...but uninstalled) handle it.  NOOOOO!!  I ran my McAfee virus software that Larry, my sister's boyfriend, put on my computer when he built it, but it never finds anything.
The Intrusion alert you are getting has nothing to do with Anti-Virus software. These are alerts generated from Firewall software like Norton Personal Firewall. To practice "Safe cruising browsing you should have both Anti-Virus and Firewall software installed. I usually get one or two intrusion alerts a day.
