We have our monthly board meeting today, so maybe I can push the director of ARSENIC AND OLD LACE to give me his director's comments so we can finish that section of the website.

Also taking some of my Goodwill treasures down to the costume co-ordinator, and hoping that we get a size six Bianca in KISS ME KATE....or even a size six Lilli.....

It is raining.

Let us hope that we hear the same weather report from Upper Beaconsfield today.

*Hearing the news of the continuing spread of the wild fires in Australia was a most sobering and saddening way to wake up this morning.

If any DR would like to follow the latest reports from Australia...

-Go to http://search.Twitter.com
-In the search field, enter either "#vicfires" or "#bushfires". -The # denotes a "hashtag".
-The search results should include some news links, as well as some "tweets", reports from people close to the fires.

I must get a haircut soon - and maybe some blonde.

Have to nit-pick here.  Blonde is the feminine, blond is the masculine.  If you are going to get your hair lightened, you will be getting some blond.

Unless, of course, what you really mean is....

Oh, BK!  You rascal you!!!

Go for it!   ;D

Queen For a Day - The Musical, perhaps?

Well, it would explain the orange beads.

Watching Poltergeist - kind of a scary movie....and kind of sad since two of the young girls in the movie had untimely demises.

To quote myself from a bout a year ago or so:

"Loved loved loved Bridget Hanley in SPOON RIVER ANTHOLOGY in L.A. about six years ago!"

Interesting that Bridget Hanley was alternating in that production with Lee Meriwether, and some people in the lobby were openly disappointed not to see Lee Meriwether, who was in the pictures in reviews, so they hadn't known about the alternation - but Bridget Hanley totally won these folks over.  A few people who had seen both several times (the show had a cult following to an extent, it seemed) said both were equally superb.

Bridget is one of the most charming, delightful people that I know.  She's a fine actress, who has always put family over career.

We were at the University of Washington Drama Department together, and when she came to Los Angeles, I became her publicist.

Good morning!

Feels like spring instead of early February! Amazing these shifts in temperature! Maybe I can get some fresh air today while lunch is cooking.

Since the Grammy Awards are tonight, do we think the revival cast album of SOUTH PACIFIC will win in the Show Music category?

I have 2 1/2 more episodes of FRIDAY THE 13th to watch, and then my day will be open to clear some of the shows off the DVR. I know two more episodes of THE STARTER WIFE recorded off Universal-HD this morning. I will watch DAMAGES at lunchtime and possibly 30 ROCK or THE OFFICE at the end of the afternoon if there is time before I come up to finish the review and get it posted.

DR Jose, I think Bradley Cooper is dreamy, too. I thought so when he co-starred on ALIAS and was crushed when his Fox sitcom got canceled during its first season.

DR DRUXY was Miss Frances Farmer a topic of conversation in the theatre department at the University of Washington?

It's time for me to head downstairs to get laundry sorted for washing and then start thinking about what's for lunch.

Jane,

It seems someone outbid you for Keith's birthday present:

LONDON (Feb. 7) - AA car abandoned in a garage in Britain for half a century sold at an auction in Paris for about $4.4 million Friday.
The 1937 Bugatti Type 57S went under the hammer at Bonhams' Retromobile car show and sale in Paris. It was sold on behalf of the family of its last owner, Dr Harold Carr.

Never.  I was there in the late 1950s-early 1960s.  She was long gone.

Glenn Hughes was still head of the Drama Dept. while I was there.
