Good morning!

Beautiful day here, and the highs should be in the mid-to-upper 60s. A gorgeous February day.

...And between "Lost" and "Damages", it really is best just not to think too much about either show's twists and turns, otherwise, major headaches will ensue.  -Or something like that.

Haven't gotten to last night's DAMAGES yet, and I probably won't until Sunday. Just too much stuff to watch, and most of it exceptional!

Re:  John McGiver.  Does anyone remember his short-lived series MANY HAPPY RETURNS?  It's one of my earliest TeeVee memories, I think mostly due to Mr. McGiver's very distinctive ideolect.

I remember it. I also remember how surprised I was that it didn't last long. Back in those days with almost no access to ratings, when shows went off after a brief run, it was always surprising.

Since I seem to have annoyed a few people last week with my over-enthusiastic reminder to DR Elmore about BURN NOTICE, I'll simply say:

DR Elmore, please don't forget about BURN NOTICE tonight!

Extremely disappointed that BONES isn't on this week. And SUPERNATURAL and SMALLVILLE are in reruns this week.

I'll be globe-hopping with Jessica Fletcher for a good bit of time today and tonight. There are 22 episodes in the set, and I've only done 8 of them thus far.

More semi-random musing:

I can't stand the woman who is eating at the Chinese(?) restaurant in the Geico commercial.  What the heck is she playing?  First she sits there smiling at the money-pack and then acts shocked when told it's the money she could have saved blah blah blah and then she is suddenly all smiles and says "I know..." like she's the cat that just swallowed the canary.  What the--?!?

Ooooh! Let's talk about commercials we hate. I cannot stand the car insurence commercials with the obnoxious chunky actress with the black hair blowing a kazoo and trying to be funny. She isn't.

DR MattH, was there really some annoyance? I greatly appreciated it. How rude of them to take it amiss. Boobs!

And here's a recipe for something to have before you have the chocolate pond cake...

Turkey Meatloaf with Cranberry Glaze

¼ cup Brown sugar
½ cup Mashed cranberry sauce

2 pounds Ground turkey
¾ cup Milk
¾ cup Bread crumbs
3 Eggs; lightly beaten
1½ teaspoon Salt
⅛ teaspoon Pepper
¼ cup Diced red onions
½ cup Chicken broth (just enough to moisten)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

For the glaze, spread the brown sugar over the bottom of a greased loaf pan and spread the cranberry sauce over the sugar.

In a large bowl mix all the remaining ingredients until well incorporated. Form the meat mixture into the loaf pan, laying out over the cranberry glaze.

Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour.

Serve with green beans (almondine) and potatoes of your choosing.

Words with a K are funny.  Kazoos are funny, not if you blow them but if you SAY them.

I agree I just can't stand the way she is simpering at that money packet - like I don't know what and ignoring her dinner companion

I think the whole campaign is dumb though

Yes, the new GEICO campaign with the craft eyes on the money is missing the mark by a wide margin.

The Safe Auto woman named FLO who helps people with their insurance is also annoying.

I really liked David Pogue's article about Twitter.

"Twitter, in other words, is precisely what you want it to be. It can be a business tool, a teenage time-killer, a research assistant, a news source — whatever. There are no rules, or at least none that apply equally well to everyone."

For myself, it's truly become a strange and wonderful "addiction". For better or worse. ;)

Grilled SPAM?  I could never eat SPAM cold, but heated up in a skillet for a few minutes... YUM!  SPAM omelets were a regular breakfast item growing up too.
