POSSIBLE DVR/VCR/TiVO ALERT FOR DR MBARNUM... ;)

It looks like they will be having a Bollywood dancing "class" during the last half-hour (of the fourth hour) of "The Today Show" today.  -And if you aren't able to record it, I'm sure the segment will end up on "The Today Show's" website.

TOD:  I didn't spend a lot of time with message boards and things until the Fynsworth Alley site started up and met many of you then.  I would check out sites that had been mentioned but never became a regular reader or contributor.

DR DAW - do you bite your thumb at ME?

I do not bite my thumb at you, sir.  But I do bite my thumb.      :)

DR JMK - As for "How does DR elmore do it?", well... I believe it's all about keeping a balance between his DVD opera viewing and his VHS collection.

OK.  I have to tell you, I just don't have a mind for geneaology.  My mind just glazes over when I try to contemplate classifying relationships.  I just can't do it.

So the relative that is visiting from Minnesota is the wife of my DH's younger brother.  If she were my DH's sister, I would call her my sister-in-law.  But since she is related to his family by marriage, what is her relationship to me, exactly?

Oy.      :P

[ps: she is a dear and I'm nothing less than delighted that she is here.  :) ]

I think she is still your sister-in-law (maybe once removed).

Tuesday morning greetings from the Miami Township branch of Dayton Metro Library!  I'm on my way to 2 meetings with the grant writers and had to return some items and pick up some others.  It's too early to go to the meeting site, so here I am.  On my way here, I had a very interesting session with Debbie the optician, who agreed that the reading portion of my new lenses is pretty skimpy.  They're remaking the lenses and I should have them in a week or so.

Speaking of eBay--I hate, hate, hate the "new search experience" and other "improvements" over the past year.  I will never sell again on eBay, that's for damned sure, and I really don't even buy that much anymore (of course some would say that's because there's nothing left after my first several years there ;)  ).

Speaking of relatives--I'm very, very, very disappointed that this shlub from whom I won two (count 'em) things on eBay who is probably the guy Keith L. tracked down for me who might be my second cousin and might be able to provide info on my father's family can't even take the time to respond to my stalking emails.   (Was that a runon sentence?  Do I care?).  ;)

TOD:

I think the first website that I visited on a regular basis, and this was back in the late 1990s, was the old SINISTER CINEMA chat board. I believe JRand was a visitor there as well.

I'm quite bummed to hear about the demise of LIFE ON MARS. Maybe Mr O'Mara will return to flirt with Brenda Lee on THE CLOSER now?

"In Art class at Travilah, fifth grade students discussed the artwork "Three Flags" by Jasper Johns. The artist used a familiar subject and presented it in a different way. Students were asked to use the same elements of the American Flag and rearrange them into a new design. The finished products were displayed in the upper grade hall. Here is a sample of their work. DR Sandra says she is your husband's sister-in-law. But calling her your sister-in-law is standard.

"Once removed" has nothing to do with it. That's a different generation.
