I think I'll have a milkshake, since I haven't eaten a thing (2 slices of pizza) since early this afternoon.

Except that I have been comparing and contrasting my 4 recordings of Leonard Bernstein's Mass.

There are 4????

Three books were life-changers from me:

Lord Of The Flies
Nineteen Eighty-Four
To Kill A Mockingbird

Finished the Lelouch movie - I won't write about it until Monday's notes, but it's a total winner.

The author of the very long musical sent me an e-mail - I'd told him that I hadn't been able to respond to an earlier e-mail from Time Warner - he said he has the number of the assistant to the top guy there, and he suggested I call and lodge a major complaint - three times in one month is three times too many - and the low-level fools' idea of compensation for the lost time is to credit you $1.50 off your bill.  Apparently when the author called the assistant, he got two free months of Internet service.  I'm up for that, frankly.

Can't even get to page eight - rather nauseating in my book (Chapter Four - Not Getting To Page Eight Is Rather Nauseating)

Weird thing - I just glanced over at the Airport and it's blinking amber instead of being solid green - but I'm on the Internet and everything seems to be fine.  I'm really bored of this - hopefully Apple Care will be there in the morning and I can query them about this, or maybe it will just right itself at some point, or maybe I'll find that the Internet is indeed down.

I have just now caught up with all the posts, but I haven't read the new notes yet.

Just had to share. :)

I went into Airport Utility - it said there was an update.  I did it.  All is well.  Why this stupid thing has to blink and do this crap instead of just giving you a screen that says "please update" so you don't think everything is suddenly broken - ridiculous.  I have really had it with technology today.

After work today, I went to see a new adaptation of "Lysistrata."  It was pretty good.  Not absolutely great, but the lead actors were very good.  After that, I brought my friend Margo the DVD to "The Gilmore Girls" that she had me buy for her.  Now that I'm home, I'm watching "Battlestar Galactica" from February 13.  Then I still have four more episodes to watch (but not all tonight).

Tomorrow, I'm going to see Footloose at Tacoma Musical Playhouse, where our very own TCB performed in Glorious! not too long ago.

Dear Jane:   being dropped off was more difficult, but I do remember a lot about St. Louis.  The snow in the winter, having to wear pants under our dresses when it was cold (girls could not wear pants only to school yet),  the milk being delivered in bottles to your front door and the cream being frozen on the top,  living in a house that was haunted (the cats refused to go in the basement), the leaves in the Autumn, it was so beautiful.

This months issue of the Auto Club magazine, Westways, has a small interview with Norman Corwin.  I saw "The Plot to Overthrow Christmas" a few years ago, and (for me because I like weird things) is the best Christmas play ever.
