Well, I must leave and go to work for a couple of hours.  This evening, I will be ushering for the touring production of ... wait for it ... Gilligan’s Island – The Musical!

George, will you be ushering for ALTAR BOYS (or possibly altaring for USHER BOYS?)

No nudity in the Nudie reading - although we'll suggest it.

Back from proofing the book whilst breakfasting at Du-Par's.  I didn't think it was possible to ruin poached eggs, but the lumpen bricks that I ate certainly proved me wrong.  I also had a short stack but only ate about one and a half pancakes.  I had, of course, already done the long jog.

T.O.D.

1939.  Elmore and I were both sixteen and dating at the malt shop, or at the movie palaces in town.  A wonderful year for great films with the exception of that stinker - GWTW.

GWTW a stinker? Darlin, the only stinker when we were at the malt shop in 1939 was that attack of gas you had after too many onion rings!

Well, if you had sprung for a cheeseburger instead of a side order of onion rings; I might not have gotten gas!

Just call me a chinchy bassa!

I'm back from a great luncheon with some very very very sparkling prizes and I've decided to do the laundry this afternoon. The beautiful weekend weather has all the crazies on the street and thankfully out of the laundry room.

And, if you're lucky, someone might take you up on the suggestion!

We are having wetness this weekend here in Rehoboth Beach.

All four dogs have gone outside, and come back inside wet.

And they've all visited der B in his room immediately upon coming back in.

Once again today, we've had rain on and off, mostly on. It's never been hard, driving rain, just soft and rather constant. In the summer, it would probably be welcome. In early spring, after three previous days of it, a little tiresome.

I watched this week's CSI: NY while I ate lunch. An OK episode about an Indian tribe slowly losing its members who retained the old tribal traditions. Not much mystery to it, though.

Amid a flurry of afternoon phone calls, I also managed to watch last night's DOLLHOUSE. It was for me an irritating episode, and I'm giving up on the show. One fewer hour to worry about recording and watching.

When I go back down, I'll start on KING BABY and should be able to squeeze in watching some skating later tonight. My watch an NCIS episode from the season two boxset also if there's time.

I was looking over the database der B and I have for our DVD/BD collection, to try to get a handle on "favorite years", but the column for the year films have come out seems to be all mucked up.

Bleh.  So much for an easy research tool.

I've got some repair work to do.

That and laundry.

Heading down now to get to today's work project and then should have plenty of time to watch some things for fun, too.

Last year and the year before , I bought tickets to everything in pairs.

Someone always went with me, but it became such a pain, that this year I'm going by myself
to everything.

I ended up always being the driver, and driving on their schedule of when to leave and when to come home.
