Good morning, all! I've been dealing with libretto fixes this morning and now I'm ready to work on my Main Report; the editor is doing a wonderful job and wearing me out with the rewrites. The good thing is that he's not inside the materials so if something doesn't make sense to him, it will be the same to an interested but uninformed reader.

I was both dazed and amused at the ending to LIFE ON MARS; I loved the show and I'm sorry to see it end. I hope next week is not the ultimate finish for LIFE.

TOD:
Most of the albums I worked on and that's quite a few; I won't mention the ones I never listen to!
1990s
   Guy Haines' albums
The complete FOLLIES from originating from the Papermill performances
Offenbach's Orphee aux enfers with Natalie Dessay
2000's
Susan Egan's "Coffee House" and "Susan Egan Live"
   Rebecca Luker's "Leaving Home"
The unreleased PHI recordings of BABES IN TOYLAND, OH LADY LADY!, THE LADT OF THE SLIPPER, and HAVE A HEART - I'm told there will be a release. Soon. Again.
Several of the Ohio Light Opera recordings: THE CHOCOLATE SOLDIER, VERONIQUE, THE VAGABOND KING
Offenbach: Entre Nous, La Belle Helene and La Grande Duchesse de Gerolstein, both with Felicity Lott
    Allegro
Jeepers Creeper ( Our DRJRand58 reminded me how much I love this album)

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And the rain did indeed start back up again last night here in Charleston.  However, I have to say the sound of the rain was quite lulling, and I had a very good night's sleep.  And since I did not have to head out earlier this morning for a production meeting.. :)

Good morning!

More rain tthis morning, but it's clearing a bit right now. It's supposed to start up again late this afternoon, but at least the weekend is supposed to be pretty.

I was, too. I have thoroughly enjoyed the show, and I think the cast has the same kind of dazzling chemistry that THE CLOSER cast shares. I will very much miss seeing these actors working together on this entertaining and involving series.

I'm with you, DR Elmore, in keeping my fingers crossed about LIFE. Its chances aren't good, but it's not completely hopeless. The show does have some champions within the executive branch of NBC/Universal.

Were this show on CBS, it would be a top ten hit. NBC just doesn't have anything to put on at 8 p.m. that can bring a curious audience to LIFE at 9. And the shows that have been on at 8 (KNIGHT RIDER, CHOPPING BLOCK) were dismal lead-in paired with a flip cop procedural.

My favorite CD of the 1990s? Probably ASSASSINS (original off-Broadway cast). I consider this one of the great Sondheim scores, and I never tire of playing the original version. The cast's voices give me chills everytime I play this CD.

Favorite CD of the 2000s? Probably HAIRSPRAY. I'd guess I've played it the most of the cast recordings. If not that, then WICKED.

I'll probably start working on HAWAII FIVE-O - Season Six today unless something else more pressing comes in the mail. Always enjoy this show, and Paramount has done a good job remastering the old films so that they don't look their age.

I haven't gotten around to watching the IDOL results show from last night, but I read on-line this morning who was sent home, and it couldn't be more deserved! I'm assuming Anoop was the third one in the bottom three?

Somehow I keep thinking that Hawaii Five-Oh, was a Quinn Martin production - until I watch an episode and don't see the Act Breaks.....

I really liked Martin's Caribe which ran for about one season with Stacy Keach.  I also like Barnaby Jones, of course.

I wondered the same thing. Is our DR Jose channeling the grammar and syntax of our DR MBarnum?

I'm up and it is very gray outside, so I may take a long jog break for today (I've just done seven days in a row).  But, if I change my mind I'll have to be out of here in thirty minutes - we shall see.
