Good Afternoon!

It's still raining here in Charleston.  According to the Tee-Vee, we've already had about an inch and a half of rain this morning, with another inch or so due this afternoon and into the evening.  Hmmm...

In any case...

I think I'm going to brave the rainy roads and run some errands, and also see if I can track down the barber shop that was recommended to me.

Laters...

Acording to the Tee-Vee

I had to go back and make sure that it wasn't DR JRand58 posting!    :)

TOD:

I would have to say that the 1990's album I've probably played the most is a tie between William Finn's Falsettoland [ paired with the 1981 Off-Broadway cast recording of March of the Falsettos ], another show by the same composer, A New Brain, and Sondheim's Passion.

From the 2000's, probably Wicked has been the most-played.  I'm not sure it's even necessarily that great, but it is addictive.   :)

Does Bye Bye Birdie really NEED to be revived?  I am scared thinking about the "improvements" and "updating" that will take place.

Helper is late and I've been addressing myself - I've probably done almost half the packages.

And speaking of DR MBarnum...

bk - Do you think that DR MBarnum would like "Dream Lover"?

;)

Does it feature unclad bodybuilders or possess Bollywood numbers?

Well, and I quote from bk's Notes:

"but the men and young men in this film are terrible – every one of them."

;D

Oh, yes, DR MBarnum subscribes to the casting couch school of acting!

Me, too, since I really liked the Encores! revival a couple of years ago, In defense of Roundabout, which I consider a demolisher of good revivals, I do like Bobby Longbottom's work and he usually works with the wonderful David Chase.

Exactly....although I was thinking of a slightly different costume.

What did you think of the ending?

I was, too. I have thoroughly enjoyed the show, and I think the cast has the same kind of dazzling chemistry that THE CLOSER cast shares. I will very much miss seeing these actors working together on this entertaining and involving series.

I'll miss it too, but I sort of like the idea of a series that runs for so long and ends.  It stays fresh the entire time
