Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And I believe I've satisfied my fix - as well as my curiosity - in regards to The Hominy Grill.

-And I had no idea that Charleston, SC, was so popular this time of year.  It was quite busy downtown yesterday afternoon, and shortly after I arrived The Hominy Grill this morning, a bunch of people started coming in.  -Some of whom gave me (I think) dirty looks as I sat at a table by myself.  ;)

I'm up, I'm up.  I think I'll take a break from the long jog - orders to print and a few packages to attend to and I want to be to David at eleven and it's a thirty minute drive.

It will be interesting to see how this ends. But i agree with DR MattH, i had started
to piece together the brother/sister/girlfriend thing. Although not as early as DR MattH.  But was anybody else as disturbed as i was of the opening scene with
little marie and the gun. I hope that part doesn't come true. Of all the scenes
i've watched on that show to me that was one of the most disturbing things they
have shown.  The rest of the show was great though. Even though occasionally
things become apparent, i find that this is one show that goes off in so many
directions (with her dreams) that i am almost always surprised by something.

I have DWTS results and Idol tonight.  And Project Runway Canada has the first part of its finale.

I already saw today's Mentalist. To me it wasn't one of its better episodes.

Wow, Larry, the JC Finian's Rainbow issue at CastRecL went on for far too long! You (and the others) were more than kind in trying to dissuade him of his idea.

There was also that Disney recoding that came out in the 80's about the same time as RED, HOT AND BLUE, but the name escapes me at the mo'.  Tom Waits, James Taylor, Bonnie Raitt, Buster Pointdexter and even Yma Sumac performed on it.  It was a wonderfully whacky recording.

Just Found it on Amazon: STAY AWAKE (though it looks like it's out of print...)

No, it's still in print at $13.98 on Amazon.com.

Urp!  I see that it is.  I must have done a half-assed search for it then.

Here's the correct link...

In other news I went on a theatre ticket buying binge this morning.

Actually, one show I had earlier. A friend has made a practice of getting the $10 tickets for the first preview of shows at The Roundabout. She got 4 tickets  for The Philanthropist (starring Matthew Broderick). One of the four canceled and she offered me the ticket so this Friday I will see Matthew Broderick in the Christopher Hampton play, The Philanthropist (based on Moliere's The Misanthropist). When I was auditioning/acting I used a piece from the show for auditions. Now I shall see it acted (by MB) on the stage of the Selwyn (AKA the American Airlines) Theatre.

On Saturday I will see all three of the Norman Conquest plays at 11am, 3pm and 8pm

On Sunday at 2pm I will see Cynthia Nixon in Distracted (a play about a boy with ADD) and at 7pm I will see Accent on Youth, a revival of a 1934 play. This new production stars David Hyde Pierce

On Tuesday I will see the new translation of Schiller's play, Mary Stuart. It's an import from London.

So I am a busy boy. It takes my mind off the rat hole!

What the heck? The new Big Cheese at the District Office is now sending forwarded stories. We don't pay him to do that.

And now you'll have to?

DR TCB -

Just don't wander all over the room and blow on some other guy's dice.

Just had a nobanza of lovely packages delivered to my desk.  From Amazon, a couple of Marianne Faithfull CDs and from Kritzerland, ILLYA DARLING!  Popping the latter into iTunes now...

...and voila!--the tune listing is there!  The cover art may not be, but I've already swiped that from the Kritzerland site.

E&T DR BrettySpaghetti was supposed to send me a copy of The Last Sweet Days of Isaac, but he never did.  As of today, I can purchase my own copy!  :)
