In other news I went on a theatre ticket buying binge this morning.
Actually, one show I had earlier. A friend has made a practice of getting the $10 tickets for the first preview of shows at The Roundabout. She got 4 tickets for The Philanthropist (starring Matthew Broderick). One of the four canceled and she offered me the ticket so this Friday I will see Matthew Broderick in the Christopher Hampton play, The Philanthropist (based on Moliere's The Misanthropist). When I was auditioning/acting I used a piece from the show for auditions. Now I shall see it acted (by MB) on the stage of the Selwyn (AKA the American Airlines) Theatre.
On Saturday I will see all three of the Norman Conquest plays at 11am, 3pm and 8pm
On Sunday at 2pm I will see Cynthia Nixon in Distracted (a play about a boy with ADD) and at 7pm I will see Accent on Youth, a revival of a 1934 play. This new production stars David Hyde Pierce
On Tuesday I will see the new translation of Schiller's play, Mary Stuart. It's an import from London.
So I am a busy boy. It takes my mind off the rat hole!
