I'm just playing on the computer and listening to CDs - very enjoyable.  I will be seeing the new Star Trek movie at the DGA - will head over there around five-thirty.

You don't have to stand in line to file for unemployment anymore.  You can do it right from the convenience of your own home.

Unfortunately, so can everyone else.  With the lagging servers, it takes approximately half an hour to sequence through the screens.

But I'm not complaining.

Steve picked me up about 20 minutes ago, and now we're back at his place where dinner is finishing up in the oven: baked chicken with acorn squash. No pork or balut in sight. ;)

*I was going to drive over here, but since I couldn't find the spare set of car keys... And since I'm still a bit cloudy-headed, well... Better safe than sorry.

I have carted back four cartons of junk to sort through and toss. I'm down to two cartons and a lot of garbage to toss next week. I think I will do that next Wednesday and close down the space. By that point I believe the Columbia frenzy of summer tenants will be over.

It tastes good too.  I haven't baked in a long time. It was fun and I was able to clean out the cupboard while I looked for the corn starch.  I didn't find it, but I had arrowroot, so I didn't need it.  I did find more expired stuff than I expected.

LOL!  I'm afraid it won't last that long. I'll take it to the office tomorrow and share it with Edith and the guys in the office next door.

I got the recipe from Trinity Tasties II.   I went through about 4 or 5 church cookbooks before I found one I thought looked good and easy.

I told my mother I was going to bake with Spenda...she said "a little sugar isn't going to hurt you" so I listened to my mother and used real sugar.  I'm glad I did.

Tonight's LAW & ORDER: CI is the one they filmed in front of the church across from my apartment! It's in the opening sequence. From the number of days they spent there, I expect it will return.
