I can make no guarantees at this point -- oh! no! No guarantees, not at this time -- about page 7.

Not many Star Trek fans were fond of that song as the main title for "Enterprise", Ginny.  They wanted something along the lines of what Jerry Goldsmith wrote for "Voyager."

Still....it grows on you.  And I'm a big fan of "Archer's Theme", which is the music written for the end titles of each episode.

I know, DR Ron, but as parents of a teenager we were heartened he was listening to and adopting lyrics like these as his theme:

It’s been a long road - getting from there to here.
It’s been a long time, but my time is finally near

And I will see my dream come alive at last.  I will touch the sky.
And they’re not gonna hold me down no more
No, they’re not gonna change my mind
Cause I got faith of the heart
I’m going where my heart will take me
I got faith to believe I can do anything.
I got strength of the soul and no one’s gonna bend or break me
I can reach any star.  I got faith.  Faith of the heart.

This is someone who posted ALL the time and we loved having her here and she's just NEVER around anymore.  I find it dispiriting, frankly.

I reduced my DVR cache from 74% on Saturday morning to 22% yesterday afternoon.

I now have the two-hour "Desperate Housewives" finale to contend with.

The rest of my cache is a slew of TCM movies.  Among them is NO LONGER that bogus print that was a retitle of "Rainbow 'Round My Shoulder."  UGH!

I longed for a modest 1951 British mystery and got a Columbia-Frankie Laine programmer. Yuckity-yuck-yuck!

I do hope you got RUNAWAY BUS!

I believe Edisaurus has been very busy working on some projects and is, indeed, in Europe right now.

My good friend Ron is a huge Star Trek fan and his basement is FULL of Trekkie merchandise.

I am not sure why I never became a fan. I don't dislike the original series, just never got hooked on it like I did with other fantastic shows of that time like Outer Limits, Twilight Zone, and Mr. Ed.

I just today got the new 7 BD set of the original ST films, plus a bonus BD.  Started up the first one--it's the theatrical cut, not the Director's Cut.

I do recall that a couple of Star Trek episodes did upset me greatly as a kid...I think some nice lady in a red shirt was turned into a tiny little square shaped thing and then a guy crumbled it/her into dust.

Yes, I've always considered Mr. Ed a sibling of TZ and OL.

My sister loved Star Trek; I didn't like it. As an adult, she went to many of the conventions. I did not.

Topic of the Day:  Star Trek...I love them all!  I've seen all the series (the original series is the only one that I didn't see during the original broadcasts) and all the movies.  Yes, some are better than others, and some were just not very good, but I really have enjoyed them all (as I've said before, my standards aren't that high 8)). Of course, I don't keep track of all the details and can never quote even the most quoteable lines, so I'm not one of "those" kinds of fans (not that there's anything wrong with that), but I have the original series, the animated series and all of the movies on DVD.  I don't have TNG, DS9, Voyager or Enterprise on DVD.  That's just overkill, if you ask me. ;)

A Belated HOORAY for CHUCK, renewed by NBC for a 3rd Season!

(And with concessions that can only IMPROVE the show, IMO)!
