Okay. Off to the East Side.
DR elmore - I hope the rain "cooperates" with your commute to and from the East Side today.
No, alas, it was totally hellish. I got on the bus that was already packed at 79th and Amsterdam, rode over to transfer to the Lexington Avenue bus, also packed, discovered my watch battery had died and it was always going to be 9:15 today when I would guess was it was around 9:50, got off the bus to a torrential downpour and wandered around LExingron and 55th Street, hoping a jewelry shop could replace the battery. Couldn't find one.
I got to the office around 10:20, soaking wet and extremely crabby. I found today an incomplete libretto for libretto, an incompete vocal score to SWEET ADELINE, and an incomplete copy of the Overture to Gershwin's PRIMROSE with my orchestrated fill-ins. I stopped at the jeweler at 86th and Broadway on my way back for a new watch battery so I now know what time it is. I got back here, soaked in a hot tub, and I'm going to have some chicken soup.
