I'm kind of laughing DR TCB as being hearing impaired really isn't an explanation for not getting your attention unless you are also hearing impaired. Having a dog comes in handy when you don't hear the doorbell.

The reason I mentioned that is because I think she has trouble communicating with and understanding me due to my moustache.  I am sure she finds it easier just to leave the slip in the box than to have to talk with me.

I have no hearing impairment, but I rarely know what the hell you're saying, Dad!

I was suppose to go to a pool party tonight but aside from the fact that it's actually too cool to swim plus we are expecting a thunderstorm, I think I might have gotten a little dehydrated working in my front yard today.  I'm just gonna stay in and watch THE MOUSE THAT ROARED on TCM (a movie on which I believe North Korea is basing it's current foreign policy.)

THE MOUSE THAT ROARED was the first play I was in, playing Professor Kokintz my freshman year of high school.

This made me laugh & I can understand her problem with the mustache. Thanks for explaining the situation.  I feel bad for you if this is a normal occurrence .

This relates to Show Girl and Miss Channing!

Oh how I wish I'd studied French instead of Spanish!       :)

Well, I did both and Spanish was handy when I lived in Florida!
I even got paid extra (A few cents per hour!) for my French and Spanish! Oy!!

We have a pair of young jackrabbits playing outside our kitchen window. :)  No photos as they are too fast.

What's on the dinner menu?! :o :o

LOL-I should learn how to do that.  They didn't stay very long & when they were in the bushes you had to know what you were looking for, meaning their ears vs plants.

In less than 30 minutes one of my favorite actresses Miss Jean Seberg will be appearing motion picture wise on TCM in her film IN THE FRENCH STYLE which I have never seen.....I shall be watching it as long as I can take it.

And of course DR FRANCOIS does HHW in the French Style!

DR Cilla good luck you do get the new mattress.

I'm sure I would think twice about some of my posts if family members were here.

the manager called about 8:00 and asked if I was still here. He said they had a lot of people coming in so he couldn't leave early.  He took one look and said "stop in tomorrow and pick out a new mattress, as long as it's the same price range, it's free".   cool.  He also told me that the pillow top beds sag in the middle more than a little firmer mattress.

I am very happy about this.  It hadn't occurred to me to check and see if it was under warranty.  I'm glad I got it at the store I use a lot.  It's the same store Jen from Design Star used when she remodeled her sister's living room in Sioux city

I was one of the WACs.  Our production was one of those nightmare stories.

That's nice, Cillaliz.

I assume you're speaking of the new bed... it really is nice. The company that made the bed went out of business, so I'm sure they could not honor the warranty if they wanted to.

Well, THE MOUSE THAT ROARED wasn't the knee slapped I remembered it being and in fact I was taken aback by how cheap it looked over all. Alec Baldwin mentioned at the beginning that the director also did a lot of television work--I'm betting that included quite a few episodes of BATMAN.

I ended up watching last week's epiasode of ROYAL PAINS and it was indeed a nice showcase for Evan's character. I do like this series quite a lot and it's so god seeign a lot of New York acors in it. I used to see David Alan Basche occasionally in the drug store on the corner of Broadway and 81st; he was in a play by my friend Jeff Baron. It was also a nice showcase for James Rebhorn, not a friend but someone I've seen for years at Drama Book Shop and several wonderful productions like DINNER AT EIGHT at Lincoln Center.

I took a drive and attempted to clear my head.  It's semi-clear now.  Am now watching a Blu-Ray - Barbra Streisand in Concert.  She sang four songs and left and Il Divo is singing.
