I've had a Blu-Ray player ever since we moved into our new home four months ago, yet last night was the first time that I actually watched a Blu-Ray disc.
Frankly, I was not that impressed and, unless I'm sent a Blu-Ray for review, I doubt if I will be adding any discs in that format to my library.
Yes, the picture and sound on Blu-Ray is somewhat better than your standard DVD, but not significantly better if that DVD is played on a Blu-Ray player connected to a flat screen TV.
Also, a Blu-Ray disc seems to take forever to load and, with this particular disc that I played last night, I was not only unable to watch the supplemental features, but I had difficulty ejecting the disc from the player.
Granted, there might have been a problem with this particular disc, but either way, I am not sold on this more expensive format.
